He had a chance; he fanned on it, recovered, and then shot the puck wide. Then he had a nice spinaround backhand into Renne's catching glove. At least it wasn't a spinaround backhand pass to a Nashville player.

Really, Darren Helm's scoring is the least of this team's worries. Perhaps we're used to two years of his playoff EXCELLENCE that this "mediocre" (if you can call it that) regular season he's having is a bit of a surprise.

Painful to watch. Especially after watching the Sharks open up the scoring in the 3rd in a seesaw battle with the Flyers.

I hate Darren Helm. He flies around the ice, but can't hit or handle the puck, and after last night's game, does anyone believe he will ever develop a scoring touch? He blew 2 breakaways tonight and has never really been able to finish. If he can never finish will he ever be more than a 3rd/4th liner?

Would make sense. He's a headcase. Very streaky, and lazy at times. Babs would have a field day with him... you thought Huddles had it tough. I am surprised he signed for so cheap, and am surprised he's played as well as he has with Kovy's line. We'll see, though, it's a long season, and he spent a LOT of time in the doghouse in Buffalo.
