The Wings played the night before when they played the SHARKS, and their opponent: Anaheim. Tonight was the first night where I wasn't convinced they would blow the one-goal lead. Solid performance in a "should-win" situation. I was mostly pissed off about Lidstrom getting hammered several times by Getzlaf and Perry. How I miss thee, Joey Kocur.

Perry only fights when he can get the Jordin Tootoo advantage. And Lils won't throw with Parros.

Ozzie made some huge saves last night, especially on defensive gaffs. I don't know what to say about the center-ice goal, but I'm far more concerned with our defense than our goaltending. San Jose is going to be the team to beat this year. They look like we did last year, and we have yet to beat a REAL team, save for the OT winner against the Rangers. I was watching the Bruins game yesterday, and heard the usual "tomorrow night's measuring-stick game against the Detroit Red Wings", when I was thinking to myself "Here's another measuring-stick game for the WINGS".

Puts things into perspective, but the last two games have been brutal.
