The bolded IS correct, but I watch every single Red Wings game (thank you, DVR) from start to finish. I absolutely envy all of you with FSN Detroit, because I would love to watch the pre-game, post-game and Red Wings Weekly.

I'll sit through the stupid fan signs on the jumbotron that say "We are the Real Hockeytown" (and there were a lot of them here in Buffalo), look at my wife and shake my head, and then watch the Wings dismantle the Sabres (again) and show them how "the Big Red Machine" does things. Then I'll shake my head at drunk Wings fan who taunts Sabres fans (most of them very family friendly), and laugh just a little bit... it will be a glorious night. Edit: clarity

It saddened me to hear Chris Chelios admit that Detroit is a baseball town, when they went to the World Series. I never understood how the Lions continue to sell out games at home. Hard to laugh at the Maple Leafs if you're a Lions fan, I'd say.

Sorry, I was pointing more at Thornton, and should have clarified. My bad.

Thornton is dominant during the regular season, but Cheechoo has fallen off and Marleau isn't normally on their line. Their linemate, Milan Michalek, was often moved off of the top line last year.

Brown re-signed, and it's possible LA just can't get any quality players. They're a horrible franchise.
