I am sorry that I was ready to hang up my jersey after regulation in game 5 against the Neckville Predators. What a great team effort. Staying healthy was the key. I am proud to say my son will be born in a year the Wings won the Stanley Cup. How great is that?

I was looking for him, also. Should have known better. The guy is simply amazing. And you know Lidstrom must feel very proud right now.

I did very well today staying busy and NOT looking too much into this game. I now have the worst acid reflux of my life.

I second the post about coming out like they did against Dallas. They took that game over early and held on well. We need the same effort tonight!

My concerns: After games 1 and 2, the Wings haven't started well in the next three. Pittsburgh may ride an emotional high from this win, and with the fans and the noise, I think the Wings may play nervous again, and you know what that means...

I couldn't agree more. Problem is, the Wings aren't finishing. Homer in game 3. Samuelsson back to his old shooting ways in game 5. Goal posts for both teams. PUT THIS AWAY.

My wife has yet to let me off the hook. Franzenstein's goal kept me from panicking until after game 5 of the Dallas series, and even then (like after San Jose's defeat last year), I've never given up. This is a PROUD day for me!!! Congrats to ALL of you who never stopped believing. This win is for YOU!!!!

He means this year, and you don't have to tell me that. It's been a little sad seeing them NOT win at the Joe. Detroit deserves to see some handshakes on home ice in victory. Can't think of a better series to do that than this one.

Both teams have gotten away with a lot... ... it didn't force them to get one shot on a 5-on-3, just like it didn't force them to one shot in the 3rd of game 1 (or however how few shots they had). Sour grapes, indeed... they had their chances. I was VERY nervous.
