Keep the faith! Here's to a SJ/Boston SCF. I cannot, and will not root for Pittsburgh, Chicago or Montreal, and am not a fan of Boston, Philadelphia or Vancouver. The odds, mathetmatically, are not looking good this year.

Rooting for the Hawks? Seriously?

Officiating was horrible on both sides, and it certainly favored the Sharks, but the Wings have certainly had officiating go both ways before and not have it affect them (much). This series was won by the hungrier team. I'll be rooting for the Sharks, and am glad they are resting now while the other teams I hate (Chicago, Boston and Pittsburgh) look to wrap up their series within the next day or two.

The Wings will open in San Jose tomorrow. Ouch. Did the Wings even bother flying home? Can anyone confirm? Also, notice the start is earlier, a 6 PM local start time.

Enjoy the game! Haven't read all of the posts, but I will say this: Get there when the doors open. We really enjoyed walking around and seeing all of the Red Wings displays throughout the concourse. You'll be able to shop as soon as they open, and they will be less crowded. You'll hear "Hey, Hey Hockeytown!" playing in the background. There is always room down at ice level to catch the pregame skate, and the earlier you get there, the better spot you'll get. To me, this is often worth the price of admission alone, as the players are often having fun, though I've only caught regular season games and not any playoff games... yet. And you'll be able to walk around the arena, check out all of the MANY banners that are hung up, and really take in all of the years of WINNING that this organization has become synonymous with. You won't regret it. Enjoy the game, too!

Nobody owns anybody like Pittsburgh owns Philadelphia. Flyers want the Devils to win. Even with regulation loss to Jersey and a regulation win for the Pens? Hmmm... didn't know that. That's a shame.

Jimmy Howard has shown a little sloppiness in his play lately. I understand that if the Wings make the playoffs, that Osgood will start... or will he? Is he even in game shape (mentally) at the current moment? That said, I think Jimmy has a terrific shot at the Calder Trophy, especially with all of the talk of Tyler Myers and John Tavares. I think he'll be a BIG reason the Wings get there, and like Blackhawk fans wondering if Niemi gets the nod over Huet, does Babcock give Jimmy Howard a playoff start?
