Wow, you really f***ed up.

Bob will definitely enjoy the fantastic food of Chicago. Portillo's - Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches Giordano's - deep-dish pizzas Not to mention the endless bars, ethnic restaurants and snack stands throughout the city.

They lost due to lack of toughness.

The Blues will be the toughest team in the division. That isn't saying much, however. Anaheim and San Jose will win every game against the Wings this year, unless Bob Probert comes out of retirement.
-
I couldn't have said it better myself.
-
The Ducks would be smart to try and push and fight the Wings and win a low-scoring affair through intimidation. The Wings would be smart to try and light their asses up early. Oh, and get a tough guy who could skate.

Pretty ******* awesome, and completely mirrors how I feel about hockey, with exception to MMA.

Just like music, poker became a fad... ... ESPN/MTV connection yet again.

Great post. I don't agree with a lot of what you are saying, but I understand your viewpoint. And yes, some of the arguments on here are ridiculous and overdramatic, but some (like many of your points and views) aren't far off from the truth. I personally believe that Canadian-bashing is very trendy right now, and ESPN is a pop-culture entity, and I take note at the jabs at hockey like I notice the MMA-bashing (the only sports I consider myself a diehard fan of). For heaven's sake, do we have to go over this again? #3 is reserved SOLELY for the one and only ANDREAS "THE PAIN TRAIN" LILJA

Penner gone, now Kunitz. Where are the Kenny-bashing threads? Where is the "Pull a Lowe, Kenny!" panic threads? Where are the "Oh great, the Ducks have won the Cup already" threads?

I don't have to. There are many LGWers who mirror my opinion of ESPN. And the "ESPN is to sports as MTV is to music" is exactly what I'm talking about. I've watched MMA endure the same snubbing hockey is enduring now since 1993. Only now is Jim Rome forced to talk about it, John McCain no longer blacklisting it trying to use the "family agenda" pandering. ESPN, however, still offers little to no coverage of it, and if it is on, it is to bash it and call it "not a sport". And this is just one additional example as to why I hate ESPN. I prefer not to write an entire essay, but I am enjoying your similar and differing opinions. Let me also add this: if you DON'T think there's anything wrong with ESPN, that should say something about you. f*** ESPN.

snowman, you love espn because you don't know any better. f*** ESPN.

Here's a serious question: Highstick.com and Icejerseys.com make custom jerseys, and are pretty up-to-date with having blank jerseys to customize for your hockey teams (they have Buffalo's new colors already). How long before they have the new RBK jerseys available for customized team hockey jerseys? I'd love to put one of our logos on this Sens jersey style: http://www.freewebs.com/nuclearpostmen/Jerseys.pdf Pretty cool jerseys.

CALLING BRYAN MARCHMENT!!!

Time Warner HD with Center Ice here. We don't get Versus HD, so that sucks. We only get NBC HD games. Not even MSG HD for Sabres games. Standard definition feeds from Center Ice are HORRIBLE.

http://www.freewebs.com/nuclearpostmen I think I have you beat here...

If so, do you play in a league? I want to get into a beginner league here in Buffalo, which is a great hockey city. There is a place with 4 rinks, one of which is being used for roller hockey in the summer, and has games all the time and has 4 different skill levels. http://www.performaxhockey.com/ I even took some game photos that were posted on the website under game pics. Hard to get enough players to form a new team, being that I've only lived here since December and have a lot going here at the Navy Operational Support Center, but... ... could the Nuclear Postmen make a comeback to amateur hockey? http://www.freewebs.com/nuclearpostmen How about you? Post your hockey background, team info, pics, etc here!!!

Hank, I couldn't agree more about the defense. I have found that playing D is very satisfying. cincywingfan, cool sites. Glad I'm not the only one with a passion for hockey in the blood.

Great responses. I skate on our drill deck here at NOSC Buffalo. I also play pick-up every now-and-then to stay in some kind of form, as well as play pick-up at least once a month at one of the several ice rinks around here. The kids get all of the prime ice-time, but the adult leagues are fun and surprisingly competitive. I would love to switch to defenseman and play in one of the non-checking leagues. I'd have to say that Cheli has really inspired me. I noticed that the top photos on the website are all mine, so that's cool. What did you think? I enjoyed watching the games from the bleachers... but couldn't help but notice some of the teams with only 10-12 skaters... unacceptable!
