I moved to Buffalo this winter. The Sabres are not in HD on MSG, BUT they just announced how Time Warner Cable has just picked up the Versus HD channel so we can watch the rest of the playoffs in HD. Well, for the 2nd game in 2 nights, golf has been on in HD instead of the Conference Finals. Can we get a group *****-letter to Versus? They are just horrible.

You're right: we have high standards, and that is because we have been witness to pure EXCELLENCE from our captains Steve Yzerman and now Nicklas Lidstrom. I was a fan of Niedermayer's when he was with the Devils. It was hard to hate the guy, even when he burned us in the 2005 SCF. Now it's easy to hate him, and what he did to Dats is bulls***. f*** that guy.

I don't have the time, and buying playoff tickets would put a serious damper on things, but I'd love to make the 5-hour drive to Detroit and catch a playoff game. Just can't afford it... sure was a great New Year's Eve, though!

That sucks, but shouldn't surprise. I finished my sea tour and am on cushy shore duty in Buffalo, where hockey is everything right now. But for us cable customers, I have to agree with cadmonkey, there is no excuse for this. The NHL should be working with whoever to put the best quality product out there... and this is just LAZY.

Detroit's "Rank", as it stands on the ice - number one wears the "C", two and three (or whoever is next should 2 and/or 3 not be in the lineup): 1) Lidstrom 2) Draper 3) Zetterberg 4) Chelios 5) Datsyuk If you've followed the games this year, you'll notice that the "A"s have shifted when people have been out of the line-up (Z's back, the murder at Cheli's, etc).

In the Navy? I've been there... check your TV-DTS schedule (if applicable). A lot of times AFN will carry the games. I watched them get swept by Anaheim while deployed in '03.
