He made some nice short passes inside the zone, and kept the puck, and himself, moving. I would have liked a little more physicality out of him, but am very happy to see he didn't take any penalties, as well.

Detroit should lose this game. They're depleted, and though I like Pavel and Flip playing together, with Homer & Cleary out, Calder still not 100% clicking with Lazy Langer, and Franzen needing to be cloned because he's playing well on both the 2nd and Grind Line, there's too many reasons Nashville wins this one. That being said: Go Booter!!!

Lapointe was really pissing me off, but not as much as Lilja not sticking up for Lebda after Lebs got smoked.

You both beat me to it. I couldn't believe he carried the puck to the front of the net last night. I can't remember the last time I saw a Red Wing do that. Great pick-up, Kenny. I'm not sad to see Jason go, but I am happy to see him getting lots of ice time for the Hawks. He'll have plenty of opportunity to succeed there as one of the better players.

Homer has been terrific lately, especially after his contract extension. Always been a fan, and am glad to see Bertuzzi can do the same thing on the 2nd line. Rest, Hank... let the team do some scoring for a change.

I've been watching the Buffalo Sabres (a.k.a. the Rochester Americans) play depleted for pretty much the entire 2nd half. This will simply test the Wings and see what they are made of. Buffalo keeps winning. What's our excuse?

Franzenstein has been playing very well, but I do like that idea of putting him on the 4th line. Rolling 4 strong lines would be a GREAT thing in the playoffs.

Hope Sammy can score. It would be great to roll 4 lines almost evenly. Put Sammy, Flip and Hudler or Cleary on the 4th line.

Lebda can't fight, but again, Lilja didn't stick up for his teammate. It's one thing to turtle up against the Flyers, but at least stick up for your teammate. I was very pissed off after the hit, once I realized Lebda was NOT injured.
