That's one of my favorite plays. I've never seen it done in the neutral zone though. I've only ever seen it in the defensive zone on the bench side. The winger goes to the D door and out pops a forward behind everyone else in the neutral zone

If anything I think these past few games might force him to make a move. If he wants to try and keep some of the kids in the lineup he's gonna have to dump some salary.

kipwinger beat me to it. Tatar hasn't had the same opportunities as Nyquist. I love Tatar, the dude is a hound a the puck. Never gives up and is always working his tail off. I mean don't get me wrong, I like Nyquist too and would rather retain both.

That was my thought too. They showed the Leafs messing around with each other, even if it was just Kessel and Bozak/Phaneuf. I feel like they never showed a sense of cohesion among the Wings like the Leafs had. I thought it was humorous when Babs was writing the lines on the board cuz it looked like he was just putting people in randoms spots, which I'm sure it wasn't that but it's what it looked like. Also when Z was skating on the pond I never saw a net and saw him take a slap shot. That scene seemed a little scripted to me.

What an amazing game/atmosphere. I couldn't stop smiling the whole game. It was amazing. I was row six section 1 right next to the tunnel on the Leafs side and it was absolutely awesome. The view of the rink wasn't the greatest but I got to high five and talk to many people who are "celebs" in the hockey community. The end sucks, and i've had one person try to ruin the event for me by rubbing it it, but it was so amazing that no one can take away how awesome the game was. I didn't have any problems with the bathroom. I went up once and it was a pretty long line, but I was in and out in less than five minutes. I also was in the Leafs section and the fans around me were great. I talked to the guys behind me (Leafs fans) for the whole game and had a good time. Only had one Leafs fan try talkin smack on the walk out of the stadium but many Wings fans were there to point out the Leafs "recent" Cup woes haha. At least this gives me more incentive to actually write my paper and not really pay attention to the game now I just hope Babcock rips them a new one in the locker room and we get to see it on 24/7. They should trade coaches for the intermission talks cuz we know Boudreau would surely give it to them

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what they are saying, but if this truly is a lateral move, Buffalo would come out as winners based on age alone. I think Howie is better and can't wait til we win a cup with him so I can shove it in all my friends' faces for saying the Wings will never win one with him

Agreed. I quit listening early, did they just mention this, or was there an incident in the game. I think Adam Oates hit the nail on the head when he asked how they would enforce this. What if you jersey gets tucked in after a hit or any other way that it can happen? Is a team really going to be penalized for it? Are they going to stop the play to warn the team? I really hope it's just one of those things they make a rule but it just goes away and isn't enforced. This absolutely made my night.
