No, No, NO! Jagr interested in Detroit.

Lol that was my first thought too, but I thought I'd share anyways.

Buccigross John Buccigross Good Morning. Red Sox scratch Beckett from tonight's start-stomach bug. Pitt Tribune-Review reports Jaromir Jagr's first choice is Penguins John Buccigross' tweet. EDIT: also here on tsn http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=369559

Lidstrom agrees to 1-year, $6.2m contract

    Is it July 1st yet?

    Aaron Rome

Agree with everything until you get to the last part. I think if his head is looking forward he doesn't get wasted. For how late the hit is he would definitely be able to get out of the way of it or at least most of it. I have a hard time agreeing that it's so obviously a charge. I think that the hit was just so hard that he is launched in the air, much like Kronwall's hits. But I'm not sold either way, it's really tough to make a concrete decision on that part of the hit. Completely agree! Ya I wasn't really sure why i got negg'd either. But the only reason i added the burrows stuff in is because he made such an impact on the game that they really wouldn't want that to happen again. But you're probably right, if burrows didn't have an impact on the game this suspension would probably still happen as it is.

I think part of the reason they made such a stand on this is because they missed suspending burrows. They miss that and he goes out and pots 2 goals including the ot winner. I think they are definitely trying to compensate for that. But I do think they suspension length is worthy.

    Aaron Rome

I'm gonna have to agree. It doesn't matter what the reason the NHL suspended him, either for the hit or the injury. They go hand in hand for me. Rome makes an illegal hit which knocks Horton out of the playoffs, he deserves to miss as well. People are saying, "well if horton was looking forward..." But I've yet to see someone flip it. Had Rome not stepped up and made a late hit, none of this is going on either.

    Aaron Rome

Exactly. I think the NHL made the correct call on this tho. Since it was a dirty hit, in a such a crucial time (being the scf) the offender should be out just as long. Dirty in the fact that it was illegal. Is this a serious statement? I mean the first part, obviously the second part isn't

    Hudler's Future

11>10 20>10 40>37 I take Franzen. And if a guy like Eaves can score 13 goals (btw 13>10) than yes I think Franzen could score more than 20 goals playing 3rd/4th line minutes Oh, and if Franzen doesn't score those five goals, detroit loses that game.

    Hudler's Future

It's funny that when someone presents something that has no way to dispute Eva just disappears.

    Hudler's Future

I did realize that goal scoring is not the same as playmaking. But do you realize then when you say "his scoring will make franzen jealous" that means you are talking about...gasp...scoring goals. Now is where I use your logic. Scott Gomez has effectively scored around 60+ points a year for his career. He had a down year. The difference between Hudler and Gomez? Gomez has actually lived up to his "potential". Alex Ovechkin scored less than 40 goals this year, he must not be one of the most potent scorers in the NHL anymore. And I know you will take this line and swing it into Hudlers favor using the 2008 stats or his 11 game streak, but that's just showing how someone can use stats to twist an arguement. Oh, btw, Gomez has played in an All-Star game or two, so I guess that's why I would call him a star.

    Hudler's Future

Even if it is based purely on their playmaking skill, all the players mentioned are stars in this league. Can you honestly expect to compare Jiri Hudler to these ppl and call them equal and not have people jump all over you? As for the second part of your post, did i mention that both Helm and Eaves scored more goals than Hudler this year, playing exclusive 4th line minutes and pk?

What can be done to go East?

I'm on board, but you can't send invites for your fb page, any way to change that and i'll invite as many people as possible. Edit: i'd love to help admin the fb page

    Hudler's Future

Among would include Hudler in this group of "elite" playmakers. And this group of "elite" playmakers would be called super stars. So now you have been caught in your own contradiction. no?

    Hudler's Future

We all do realize that Darren Helm and Patrick Eaves outscored Hudler this season right? Oh, and they played 4th line minutes. I guess you are right, anyone (this case being Hudler) can put points up with Datsyuk.

    Hudler's Future

Never claimed him to be a superstar, but says it's possible for him to score 105 points...that's superstar level. That is why you get s*** on. Because you do act like he has some untapped superstar potential. The reason Babcock must've broken that line up was because they were just too darn good to keep together. Bettman probably made him do it. You honestly think that Hudler is on the same play making level as Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Sedin? because they are the best in the league in that regard. That alone shows that you do have a biased view of hudler

Brian Rafalski announces retirement after 11 NHL seasons

Ken HOlland said there were never any talks with ATL. He said it in that interview that someone posted a few days ago.
  17. hmmm... don't know what i was thinking of then, maybe my pure hatred of that series clouded what actually happened haha EDIT: I've figured out our confusion. The Malkin incident happened at the end of Game 2. He came back in Game 3 and recorded a playmaker in a 4-2 victory (forgot the empty netter)

    Your all-time team?

why no ken dryden? 6 cups in 8 seasons
  19. That's interesting, because i remember him having 2 assists in a 3-2 win for pitt
  20. Agreed, I said to my brother i wish joe thornton was out there to see him throw one of his tantrums and slash someone in the back of the leg

    Hudler's Future

So you'd rather have a not scoring Hudler than a not scoring Franzen on the PP?
  23. I don't disagree with you at all. Crosby is an amazing hockey player and at times the best player in the league. Obviously people are going to go through times when they are playing better than others. But the only thing i was arguing about was to say that Crosby is the best by a wide margin is a little too extreme.
  24. No way, not even close to a true statement. Pavel Datsyuk, Alex Ovechkin. You cannot say that crosby has been the best player by a wide margin. That is just dumb. :rotflmao: EDIT: I'd also like to see a video of this
