I like the Sedins as well. They are phenomenal. I found it hilarious, however, when I think it was Bolland said they probably sleep in bunk beds. I could totally see that.

Report: Cleary to sign with PHI, 3 yrs, $2.75m/yr, NTC
Mitchmac33 replied to Jedi's topic in General
This is so frustrating. I was so happy when he was "signed" with Philly and out of the Wings org. It already looks like Tatar was the odd man out according to the early line combos for camp. Why is it that every time Holland gets me to have faith again, he goes and does something like this... -
sooooooo does anyone know if these will be online anywhere?

Where does it say that? I bought some through the Leafs (live in Michigan) and there doesn't seem to be any problem. Now I just want to make sure that I'll be receiving my tickets haha.

Ugh I just don't like the number 15 and I honestly have no reason for it. Well I guess my reason is I just don't like the look of it. For some reason when Weiss signed I thought he would have 29 as well, also have no idea where that came from either. Any particular reason my brain would associate Weiss with 29?

I thought that may have been a joke as well lol. NYI - JT DAL - Benn OTT - Spezza BUF - Stafford (maybe Vanek to try and keep him around?) CBJ - Johnson (goin off the board) CGY - Giordano TBL - Tough call between St. Louis and Stamkos, do you give it to the guy who's been there through it all or your superstar? I'll go St. Louis I guess EDM - I honestly could see them going a while without naming a captain like Colorado did for a bit.

Bob Mckenzie just tweeted that it voids his contract. So what does that mean if he ever decides he wants to come back? Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie4m A few quick thoughts on Kovalchuk's "retirement" from NHL that voids his NHL contract but paves way for him to sign in KHL Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie4m 1. Mutual (player and club agree) termination of an NHL contract not that unusual but usually involves lower-profile players. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie1m 2. If NJ had so chosen, it could've blocked Kovalchuk from the KHL by tolling contract. But NJ isn't doing that, he's free to go to KHL. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie3m 3. Kovalchuk doesn't get paid anything (by NJ) and Devils don't get cap hit other than a modest $250K/year penalty for each of next 12 years Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie52s 4. NJ will miss Kovallchuk on ice in the short term but long-term gain is getting out from under long-term financial obligation.

17yr old hockey player charged for on-ice assault.

Honestly, I don't know what exactly would make me want to bring the law in, I just know that I don't think it's this -

I don't have a problem with the kid facing his own punishment. I just don't think it warrants criminal charges. Obviously we are not going to come to an agreement on it, so there's no point going round and round with it. As a wise man named Ron once said, "agree to disagree." -

Ahh, missed that. But honestly, if this happens unprovoked I'd be more lenient to thinking the law should get involved, but it wasn't unprovoked. When you are playing in a game that's out of hand on the score board, people have already been tossed for fights or trying to fight, you don't go spray the goalie, that's asking for trouble, and trouble found him. Also, there's no way to tell if the cross check concussed him, so we can't automatically assume he was already concussed once the punches came in. -

No one is turning their back on this, the kid was disciplined, in a manor deemed just by his league. As you may have read, I don't believe that pressing charges is the right approach here. Maybe a little stricter punishment is needed here, I could agree with that, but no to the courts. And kids will do stupid things, like fight someone who just sprayed their goalie. No one got cross checked into a dasher, let's keep the facts straight here. -

No way, I remember playin Midgets and every tryout there was at least one fight. Every game had someone trying to fight someone else, not that it always happened, but it happened. These kids know fighting happens at their level and if they don't expect after doing something like that they are dumb. Like I said, I don't condone the whole of what happened, but the kid definitely doesn't deserve to have charges pressed. If you are gonna follow unwritten rules, then spraying the goalie is a no no too. I didn't realize in Flashy's first response to me that he had said that kids had already been kicked out for trying to start fights. I think that makes spraying the goalie even more dumb. You know the game is being played like that, why go and antagonize by doing something like that. Pure stupidity. -
Ahh ok, I wasn't sure why he was out of the line up. That's my b.

Sheahan is not ready, Jurco played just his first year of pro and is not ready, and Pulks was a healthy scratch for the Griffs during the playoffs. And I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure Almquist was getting scratched near the end there as well.

Ya i agree, like i said, i think he went too far. I think if he comes in and fights right away it's different. But when the cross check gets him on the ground and he keeps attacking it's too much -

I have to disagree. When you go in and spray a goalie like that, you know what can happen. I used to do stuff like that all the time to get under the skin of the other team, but i never did it thinking nothing would ever happen. I do think the player went too far, but if #11 doesn't spray the goalie it doesn't happen. -
2013 Stanley Cup Finals - Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks

That's not what they are talking about. The window for compliance buyouts opens 48 hours (i think) after the finals are over
