Holland "Not Optimistic" about re-signing Hossa

    Hello Canucks fan

Jay Bouwmeester's Rights traded to Calgary

Another big move by the Flames without concern about the depth. They got Iginla, Jokinen, Bouwmeester, and Phaneuf. Quite funny they got some good players but never get past the first round since they went to the cup few years ago

Holland "Not Optimistic" about re-signing Hossa

I really hope we can re-sign him and he will play with us for more time but if he leaves, I am not going to be somewhat shocked. I loved Hossa throughout the season and yeah, he did not play good enough in the playoff but his season performance was good. The trouble must be his cap number. Even though it goes to a long contract with a change of the salary from high number to low number, it must be hard to go down to 4 million cap number. Besides, the only thing I hope to see is the Wings fans never mock Hossa as the Penguins fans did. That was the biggest joke I will have ever seen in my life as a hockey fan.

    Hossa wants 6million a year

Give me the source Filp is a bum. Besides, if you don't have any relationship with Filp or something related to him, stop saying to trade players. Quite funny how people protected Osgood when he played bad and now people bash Filppula when they constantly say the Wings should keep the loyalty. Freaking ridiculous.

    Hossa wants 6million a year

Do you want Hossa to become Mr. Hockey over Gordie?
  6. All players from the middle of 90s to early 20s Stevie, Sergei, Larinov, Shanny, Vernie, Dom, Vladdy, Sheppard, etc

    Hossa wants 6million a year

I said before. The Wings have no chance to re-sign Hossa. But, there is only one chance I think about. He wants a long-term deal and the cap hit is no matter for Hossa. It is all about how much he makes per year. If we give Hossa around 6 million per year but decrease his salary in the late of his career, Holland can make 4 million or some around there. Well, it must be 99 percetange impossible but just a slight chance; I think Holland will may re-sign Hudler and Leino with saying bye bye to Samuelsson

Sharp apologized to Lidstrom after the finals

It is fine for me actually. I have nothing against Sharp as much as I have something against Crosby. Besides, the injury can occur and whether it is done intentionally or not, it is good to see he apologizes to Nick. Good to see there are players who don't act like the ****** Lemieux.
  9. Awesome post. If it works with the choices, the league must be retarded. It is quite surprising that many people don't know how the salary cap is composed by the average, not by the each year's salary. p.s) not bashing Raptor1116. I don't know many things about hockey either

    Future of The Joe uncertain...

I have a question. Few people here say Joe is too old. Its seats are uncomfortable or etc.. isn't the Rangers still using MSG which has been in NY for around 70 or 80 years?
  11. Leino is not worth more than 1 million. He looks to have a great skill but he shows many of his weakness in this playoff. He must be worth as 0.7 or 0.8 million cap. He has proved none. Sure, he has somewhat 7 points in 11 or 12 games but it does not directly confirm his consistency in the season. Besides, I will be happy if Hossa stays but I don't see this happens. I have thought for enough time and here is my thought for the way Hossa may be able to stay: The cap hit is the average of the pay- roll. For Hossa, it is not important how much Hossa is worth as a salary cap. All matters for Hossa is the Cup, good deal, and the salary. If I consider Hossa gets a discount, he can take big money but he can also take little money as the year passes over and over. Thought?

    Howard to backup next year

    Great? Maybe horrible.
  13. FedorovMan91

Surely Chelios is done as a Wing?

I really hope he does not re-sign. He cannot play for more than 6 minutes per game. End of story. You keep the loyalty but you don't spend the cap space toward players who do not help the team at all.

Free Agents That Might Sign with The Wings

Perfect comment. We don't have the cap room to sign these players. If Hossa does not re-sign, which most likely to happen, Hudler, and Leino have to make contracts. The only thing I am looking for is getting rid of Samuelsson and get another player to replace him.
  15. There is a different expectation on different players and so I am allowed t say Lebda played prett well this playoff. The thing I don't like about him is his playing style is way too offensive; it results many odd-men rush. Besides, I like Chellios but he has to retire. He is 46 years? He can manage only 5 or 6 minutes ice time per game and he always looks lost on the corner and the back of the net when he has to win the puck battle. He has been great for us since he came here but he has to retire at this point. Even though he takes a small amount of cap money, it is still at least 0.7 or 0.8. For Hossa, I kept mentioning but I see no chance we can sign for him. Hossa for 4 million? If he says that, people who don't want him must feel nuisance against him. Same with us but also different than us, other teams will make huge offer to him.

What would people think about getting these players?

Kotalik- too weak, doesn't matter the player is euro or whatever.. Neil- I love this guy but other teams that need to add the physical apperance must pay a lot for him over us Maxim- It would be sweet if he is on our team but don't expect it would be huge Silinger- please no..........

Favorite team or teams OTHER than the Wings

Be honest I hate every team other than the Wings but here is overall my pick: 1. Wings- no need for explaining this 2. Oilers- many young players and play very quick tempo hockey 3. Leafs- love their games always, no talented player but always dramatic games 4. Kings- hope they do well, liked the guys like Kopitar and Johnson 5. Sens- like their logos and Alfie is a gentle guy Usually, I like the team that is very balanced and play not dirty. Besides, I want a fast and exciting games. Here is the list I hate: 1. Avalanche- the idiot Lemieux.. end of a story 2. Ducks- Perry, Nidermayer, Pronger... never liked them since the Anaheim Mighty Ducks day 3. Blackhawks- hated them since I watched hockey in 1998. 4. Canucks- the most classless fans in the NHL 5. Penguins- never liked Crosby since the junior day and wonder where those crowds came from by 2 years. 6. Wild- no hated player, but too boring... 7. Any team has a ****** like Avery

What happened to Sabres and Senators?

Two people explained well and let me add one thing: the Sabres is the team that has the worst ability to keep its prospect or star players. Briere, Biron, Campbell, etc.. they are all from the Sabres but during the off-season and the trade dead line, the Sabres gave them away. For the Senators, losing Comrie kind hurt the Sens. Besides, they signed Heately, Spezza, Alfie for such a long time for more than 7.0 million cap number. They did not get a discount like Zetterberg and Datsyuk made. This season, all of three did not produe many points and their second, third liners absolutely went down. Moreover, Murray, the Sens GM, he was the coach of the Sens just few years and moved to the place of GM and set Harsburg as the Sens coach. The reason why Murray wanted Hartsburg for the coach was: 1. Murray had somewhat a relation with Hartsburg 2. As people say the Sens' biggest defect is defense; Hartsburg was the coach of one team in OHL and his reputation was defensive style. However, Hartsburg was not even close to the level of coach the successful Eastern team like the Sens wanted. As a result, because of his defensive style stragedy, all of Spezza, Heately, and Alfie, their abilities went down. If we start to discuss about the falling down of the Sens since the All-star game of 07-08 season, that would be Emery. He was a decent goal-tender in 06-07 season while the team itself supported him very well. But, he went down the surgery with the start of the season. Gerber was taking his spot for like 2 months. When Emery came back, he had a conflict with the team itself because the coach did not guarantee Emery himself as the number one netminder of the Sens. Since that time, TSN and other medias reported how lazy Emery was and he made some conflicts with his team mates. He had a fight against Fisher and Ruutu few times. I don't know this is good description but hopefully you can understand my English and enjoy my reading

Do you trade Flip in order to sign Hossa?

The thing I want to know is the possibility Hossa can make a deal of 4-5 million. I seriously see no way Hossa can stay in the Wings. He is worth at least 6.5 - 7 millon. He can get even more salary from other teams. Besides, we don't have to forget Leino who stated he surely want to be in the Wings next season, not the Griffins. Besides, I agree with YoungGuns1340, I am not going to stop criticizing Filppula's skill or play performance until he puts up at least 60 points. In this season, he was on the third line. Next year, he is guaranteed to play on the 2nd line and if he still does not play that well next season, I am going to concern deeply. It makes no sense if this thread talks about Filppula against Hossa. It is story Filppula, Samuelsson, Hudler, Conklin against one guy called Hossa. Samuelsson should be gone and I see Hudler will be gone too. Leino should stay hee. The reason I don't want to trade Filppula is because of his skill and talent even though he is a bit over-estimated in this board. We will see next season. To end, if Holland really makes a deal with Hossa for 4 million, I am going to call him the best GM ever in all professional leagues.

    Goalie next season

Ok, the season is over and our cap situation is locked up for around 50 million. In this situation, do you want to add some goalies or do you guys want to stick up with Osgood and two prospects(be three if we include McColumn) I honestly don't think Osgood will perform that well next season. He was great in the playoff but he has scared me throughout the regular season except for few games. Besides, I don't think Howard and Larsson are ready for NHL. Sure, we will give them many chances next season but do you want to re-sign Conklin or stick up with the present situation? Opinion ~~~

Do you trade Flip in order to sign Hossa?

Oh my god, another trading Filppula thread.. it reminds me the thread: 1. Osgood sucks bomb 2. Datsyuk is a liability in the playoff These threads have come to the board over this whole season. We are not going to trade Filppula. He is our future. I believe he will perform good next season. Besides, I never saw the thread 'Kronwall sucks!'. Why do some people make a thread of particular players?

    Sedin's want the Zetterberg deal

Good post but I am not going to believe until the kid really shows up and play. I have watched hockey for only around 10 years but there were so many kids who were expected to play great but performed no good. No one knows the future. For us, did anyone here expect Zetterberg and Datsyuk would be these great players when they were rookies? It is same with Anze Kopitar in the Kings. From my view, I think he has tremendous skill but the team itself demolishes his skill It will be so fun to watch the Canucks fans whine the kid if he does not perform well and that is the life of the Canucks fans
  23. FedorovMan91

    Sedin's want the Zetterberg deal

Then, the Canucks failed. There is a reason why most of Canucks fans hate their GM, Mike Gillis. First, he looks arrogant and secondly, he brought up Sundin who came to the end of his prime. Sundin is not even close to the elite offensive player at this point. What he has done to Vancvouer is just go out and do the face-off. He made some fluke goals but that is it. Franzen- 20-30 goal scorer 3.9 million Sundin- 50 or 60 points producer and 5.6 million
  24. FedorovMan91

Longshot but is it possible Penguins could match what Oilers

It is possible but not likely because the Penguins cannot keep every team. The difference is the salary cap. I don't see any team can win the cup 2 straight years so far. We were very close
  25. FedorovMan91

    Sedin's want the Zetterberg deal

Be honest, it is really never mentioned but he wants to win the Cup. Rumor is not just rumor and there is a reason why the Canucks fans also think Luongo will leave the team if they don't get to the third round. If they don't re-sign Sedin brothers, rest of the offensive players: Bernier, Burrows, Kesler, Raymond, Hordichuk, Demitra, Johnson, Rypien. They have much cap space so I think the Canucks can sign for them but what I am saying is if they don't get them, they will be in big holes
