I had an idea for one using the "Ghostbusters" theme with the title "Sharkbusters", but I'm so not creative. Is there anyone who can run with that one? By the by, love the Shark Whisperer!

I will tell you this, for hockey coverage, I'll take Fox Sports Detroit any day, any time! Ken Daniels, Mickey Redmond, Larry Murphy, Trevor Thompson - they're all die hard hockey/Red Wing fans, and they make it fun to watch FSN. I'd give anything to have the NHL Channel here in the States. I'd gladly give up the football, golf, basketball, horse racing and soccer channels to have it! I wonder if maybe Spike TV will try again at a later date to get the NHL?

Do yourself a favor - get a DVR! It's one of the best investments I ever made! Either that or take a nap in the afternoon.

We know the feeling of a quick exit all too well. Take solace in the fact that you were not the only team that played great and fiercely, only to fall in the first round. There will be other days, other games. Keep your chin up. Believe me when I tell you that you have nothing to be ashamed of (well for the most part anyway - I'd question the goalie bit ).

For what it's worth here's my two cents... 1) Andreas Lilja....we've been riding this guy's ass all year long. So what does he do? Only step up and play like a madman. He was incredible! I promise you he shut a lot of critics up. And well they should be. No more badmouthing this guy - he really stepped up and delivered. 2) Dominik Hasek and Chris Chelios...both of them wanted to prove that age is merely a number. And as far as I'm concerned they did just that. Dom was great (and that save in the OT last night still has my jaw hitting the floor), and Cheli can play til he's 145 as long as he keeps playing like he has been. What a trooper! 3) The kids...Jiri, Brett and especially Valtteri Filppula. I think the future is in good hands with these three. Credit also to Kyle Quincey for pinch-hitting at the last minute and giving a good showing of himself. 4) The role players...Cleary, Maltby, Draper, Franzen, and the rest...what can you say? As usual, stellar performances when needed. Strong support for the team when needed. And last but not least...here's to getting the monkey off your back. Congrats, Pasha...I'm proud of you. You really put the demons to rest. We live to fight another day. At least this year the playoffs won't end on my birthday!

We had a lot of guys with some things to prove and I think this was a good start to dispelling some of those things. First, I have to say that Andreas Lilja earned his paycheck. He really played well. A lot of us gave him a lot of grief all season long, but he stepped up and really jacked his game up a couple of notches. Good job Andreas! Second, Dom wanted to come back and prove he still had it in him at age 42. I'd say he proved he's still got it. And speaking of age, Chris Chelios can play til he's 145 as long as he keeps playing as good as he did. I'm still holding judgement on Robert Lang and Mikael Samuelsson. Robert redeemed himself a little tonight, but Sammy, what are we gonna do with you? The kids are alright. Jiri, Brett and Valtteri were marvelous. Especially Valtteri. This kid could be a star. And last but not least...here's to you, Pasha, for getting the monkey off your back and shining through. You really did me proud. I knew today would be a good day when I saw a bald eagle flying, and won $20 on one of the Red Wings lottery tickets. Damned if it didn't turn out that way! On to the next round. We live to fight another day.

Damn, it's a good thing you don't want fingernails to play accordion - I've pretty much bitten mine down to nothing. This is nerve wracking.

Sorry almost a duplicate post. I'm going to pop over on tsn.ca and see if they have any updates.

The true test of a team is how well they respond under pressure. I know we've lost Brett, but I expect us to come out and give them a beat down to within an inch of their lives - but to do it in the best possible way - on the scoreboard. No stupid penalties, no reprisals, just go out and beat them down where it counts. NO MERCY

First of all, I expect to wake up in a few hours and find out that some suspensions have been handed down. If there isn't at least one, I will be seriously bringing into question the League management. As if I don't already. Second, I expect our guys to show what a class act they are and not stoop to the basement level mentality of Calgary. We are too good for that. That said, I expect a good game. And I think we will prevail. No, I take that back. I KNOW WE WILL. In the words of Little Feat, 'Move on over...stand aside...my cruise control's in overdrive." Take 'em down, boys. NO MERCY!

Geez, guys, this is beginning to suck most profoundly.
-
Sweet save Dom!
-
Come on fellas! It's time to get serious and put this to bed.
-
Holy smokes, poor Brett...I hope he's okay.
-
This has to be the worst officiating I've ever seen in my life.
-
Well, that figures. You knew damned well it was coming. I demand new refs!
-
Good Lord, this is ridiculous... I demand new refs!
-
This is enough to give a bottle of aspirin a headache!
-
Geez, this power play is not doing anything!
-
Alright, you guys - playtime is over. It's time to get serious and put these jokers out of commission.
-
We better be damned glad we're tied at this point. We better get it together or we're in heap big trouble. Boy, I don't know how Pasha manaaged to get out of that little sandwich against the boards, but that was some pretty darned cool moves.
-
So Bertuzzi was taking aim at Phaneuf?? How about taking him out, Bert?
-
JOHAN!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go, baby!!!!!!!!!!
-
Aw, man, this is not good. Holy schnikees, we're in trouble. Come on you guys - show a little anger without taking penalties!
-
About damned time!
