No, no, no, no, no, no and no. Do I make myself clear?

Vancouver Sun article on why no one hates the Wings
Kira replied to unsaddleddonald's topic in General
The only nice thing I can say about any of the Blues is that I like the fact that David Backes flew to Texas and brought back three rescued dogs. As a dog lover and owner, I do admire him for that - but that's where it ends. -

Your jealousy is showing...don't feel bad, a lot of people have that problem. -
It is hard to watch someone go through. I would not wish this on my worst enemy.

http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/44513-Gordie-Howe-looks-to-raise-awareness-of-dementia-while-feeling-its-effects.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=thn_daily_20120202 I went through this with my father (Alzheimer's), and believe me, it isn't easy. It sounds like he's in good hands, but if you have ever been around this kind of disorder, you know that in time, it gets worse. All I can hope for, all we as fans can hope for, is that whatever can be done will be. You're in our thoughts and hearts, Mr. Hockey.

We've seen mosquitoes and moths already, so don't feel alone. Okay, so I'm watching The War Room with Jennifer Granholm on Current TV (yes, I am a liberal and damned proud of it!), and she's interviewing California governor Brown. All of a sudden I look on her desk, and I hit the pause on my DVR. Guess what she had sitting on her desk for all the world to see? A RED WINGS COFFEE MUG! Bless her heart, she may be out in San Francisco, but she still roots for the Red Wings. Good on ya, Jen!

He makes everything look so effortless, doesn't he?
-
Nick is a given. Pasha would be wonderful.
-
I'd pay to see that one! But you know, I bet he would have a good singing voice.

Forgive me if you think I am being cynical, but this is the first year I've watched it in eons. Know why??? NO Ovechkin or he who shall not be named. I'm so damned sick of hearing about nothing but them - you'd almost think they were going to report if one of them had the hiccups or something. It was refreshing to watch the game and know that those two media whores were not there. I didn't miss them at all, and if they were never there again, it would certainly not break my heart. Sorry if you think I'm being snarky, but it's the truth.

It's cool that all these guys had such kind words for Pasha. He did himself and the Wings right proud, I would say.
-
Like fine wine...improving with age.
-
So humble and gracious...last night he did an interview and he said he doesn't think about anything he does - "it's all for the team." How could you not love a guy like this??? I wouldn't care if he only spoke Pig Latin - this guy has the makings of our next captain.
-
Nah, he's not going to do some hotdog Ovechkin move...it's not his style.
-
He's doing the shootout, along with Malkin and Iginla. Should be interesting. I love this quote..."Never in my life was I picked first. Ever since I was a child playing pick-up games, I was picked closer to the end or dead last. Finally, I know what guys feel and experience when they get picked that early." How humble...

I'd say Z definitely went for the fire power. How I'd love to see Pasha walk off with MVP honors. Wouldn't that just frost some critics and sports writers???
-
I'm so tickled that Pasha went first. Number one, it shows how much respect Chara has for him. Number two, shows that the critics don't know s***. Good boy, Pasha...I'm proud of you.
-
It's a hard call...there are quite a few who have stepped up and gone beyond the normal.
-
I need to find that shirt. I love it!
-
Yeah.. that and a buck might get you a newspaper. If I had a s***, he'd be the first person I'd give it to.
-
Maybe they'll take x-rays to find out what people see in him.
-
I'm gonna say nothing. It almost looks as though he had his hand on the guy's back merely to steady himself. If that's the case, then it's purely a matter of balance, and not his fault at all that the guy went into the boards. We shall see.

I didn't think my dear hubby could surprise me after 34 years, but damned if he didn't. He walked into the room the other day and said, "I've been looking online for ticket information and handicapped facilities at the Big House." My jaw hit the floor - this from a guy who has never been much of a hockey fan - and he's serious about this! My God, I may just get the chance of a lifetime! This is why I stay married to the sweetheart.
-
And my sanity is questioned???

Very wise man is your grandfather.
