I'm happy that justice was swift and proper. The next time St. Louis comes to town, you can bet that the boo birds will be loud and long for that douchebag. When Nik came back last night, I thought I was seeing things. I never thought he'd be back. The power of the mind can be a wonderful thing.

I have always had a deep faith in him...I know he'll come out of this. It's just a matter of time and patience. Keep working, Pasha, and don't give up working. It will eventually right itself. I believe in you. I always have. I always will.

You know what? I don't think Pasha is really concerned about whether he scores a ton of goals right now, as long as the team is winning. We've improved the goals against stat considerably so far (5th as opposed to 26th last year), and you have to admit the defense has been kicking ass...including someone stealing pucks as per usual. And besides, he's always said he prefers to pass rather than score goals, so hey, if it ain't broke, don't screw with it. Yeah, I'd love to see him score more goals, but I'm perfectly content to take what I get.

I have faith that he will be fine. He's always been notoriously slow at the beginning, and picks up steam as things progress. If he is still rattled by what happened to all his friends a couple months ago, I can understand it. It's hard to pick up the pieces sometimes. He'll be fine...he'll work it all out in his head and heart.

I honestly thought that Columbus would have been the first one in the firing mode. I'm a little surprised at this. But good for Ken Hitchcock. I wish him luck.

I'm not at the point of total anger yet, but I am getting a little sick of the dump and chase theory.

I'd love to see the work he's done...I bet it's pretty awesome. What a lovely thing to have happen to him after all the adversity he's been through.

According to what I've read, he gets to play 10 games, or stay 30 days in GR, and then has to clear waivers again. I don't understand the waiver system at all, but that is what I read. All I know is that I'll most likely see him play Saturday night when I go to the Griffins game. Yay.

YAY!!! I had called them last night and they told me that Center Ice wouldn't be affected by what was going on, but they were still in negotiations. I'm relieved indeed...not only do I like FSD (for obvious reasons), but there is a new show on National Geographic Wild about one of our local vets, called "The Incredible Dr. Pol". I know him, I know where he practices (right down the road from my house, in fact), and I know some of his clients. Makes for really cool tv.

I like his attitude that he doesn't want to get picked up by another team, that he'd rather play in GR than anywhere else, because he wants to be here. I hope he gets his wish and stays.

I hate to be mean but I honestly and truly can't conjure up a whole lot of sympathy. I'm sure it is painful and all, I get that, but it's Chris Pronger, for crying out loud - how am I supposed to feel sorry for him????

Good...I lived without HD before...I can live without it again, just as long as it means I get to watch the games. I hate the fact that I won't be able to see WingSpan on Saturday mornings, but maybe I can convince my friend with Dish to record them for me.

That was my question - I paid for Center Ice...if they have a problem with Fox's parent company and we don't get it, do I still get the games over Center Ice, or do I get my money back? As long as I can have the games, I'll be willing to forgo HD as long as it takes to negotiate...I just want to watch the damned games. I lived without HD before, having to do it again won't kill me, as long as I can see them.

My housemate is a die hard Bruins fan, and she said the Boston fans want to thank Abby for giving it to Lapierre. I thought he carried himself very well. Maybe those boxing lessons did pay off!

I have wonderful memories of all of the Cup wins in my lifetime, but there was something about '02...whether it was watching Nick score from center ice and telling my hubby, "This changes everything. We're gonna take it all."...or sitting up til 1AM watching the three overtime game...being in Sault Ste Marie for the 7-0 laugher and loving every minute of it...telling a Carolina fan, "Wings in five - you watch." - and being dead on correct. Or maybe it was watching a shy, soft spoken young man begin to show just what magic he had up his sleeve...hearing people say, "Who is this guy?", and then hearing them say, "Who is this guy?" He had people turning heads from the very start...what a joy it's been to watch him. '97 brought tears to my eyes, because it was the first time in my whole life that we had the Cup...'98 was tearful for different reasons...'02 was pride...'08 was even more so. I sure would love to see it happen again.

Keep an eye on Patrick Eaves and Drew Miller, two of the best penalty killers on the team, next to Helm. Also, Brad Stuart...teamed up with Nik Kronwall, they are the latter-day version of the "Bruise Brothers" - they each bring a rather nasty streak to their game, but when they hit you, it's a clean, legal hit. They don't do head shots or cheap shots - they do it by the book, but they make you sit up and wonder where you are, or if Rod Serling is looking for you (if you're too young to remember "The Twilight Zone" that's the Serling reference).

Heaten, that is terrible. I'm sorry to hear that. I knew it was a sellout, but to oversell it is ridiculous. I hope you get your money back.

I am again passing this one up...I agree with the person who said it wasn't fair for Philly to be in a second one when a lot of teams haven't even played in one. What's wrong with Minnesota/Dallas playing in Minnesota, or Colorado and someone in Denver, or even Jersey and the Islanders somewhere in Jersey, or at what used to be Shea. I don't really want the Wings back in until others have a fair chance, but if they decided to play Detroit and say, Columbus at the Big House, I would say make it a double header - Michigan/Michigan State in the first game, or Michigan/Ohio State, and then Wings/ Jackets. You'd sell out the Big House in a heartbeat.
