When Nick and Homer decide to hang up the skates, the player with the most seniority will be Pasha. Naturally, people will think he has the stability and experience to lead. I think he's got it in him, but he needs to know inside himself that he can do it. He needs to realize that he has the ability to do it, but he needs to have that little bit more confidence...even a bit of arrogance. Not overly arrogant, like some players do have, but just enough to say, "This is how we do it." And then back up those words with the goods.

Guys, guys, guys...this is supposed to be a nice, friendly place. I'm going to say that we're going to be a lot healthier this season. Nick and Homer, if they do hang them up after this year, are going to go out in style. Pasha is finally going to hit the 100-point plateau.

Believe me, we're never hard to find...everyone wants to pet Loki.
-
Point taken. I almost got my head handed to me for saying it.

That's right before training camp, so I'll be saving my bucks for that. Dimaline, maybe we can meet up in TC if you're gonna be at camp. I'll be the one that has my dog with me.

I'd be real careful how you throw that accusation around, especially here. I think there are a few people who would take great exception to those words.
-
You know, I still like the guy...I'm glad he got a chance to play in Germany and he still has a love for the game.
-
He's a lot smarter and quicker on his feet than he lets on. Don't let what you see fool you.

$7.5 mil for one year. He wanted $8.5 mil. If he thinks he is worth that much, he's got a serious problem. Think you're God's gift to hockey, fella? Well, you just proved that God has a good sense of humor.

I know how he feels about the sprain hurting a long time...I'm going through the same thing right now. A couple weeks of doing absolutely nothing would be a good thing. Soak up the sun, my friend, and be lazy as hell. You earned it.

I'm more than sure that the Fox stations won't be affected...they would have to have way more regional programming on NBC Sports Net than they have, so I think we're pretty safe. I just wish they would dump Emrich, Olczyk (I apologize if I spelled that wrong), and Roenick, and hire Bill Clement and Gary Thorne (I never thought I'd hear myself saying this) and let them do their thing.

Dear God, that first picture is so precious. Even that young, those eyes are so heartbreakingly beautiful. You just made my day!
-
I like him too...he's got potential.
-
Why couldn't it be Homer???
-
I'll give him 7.5 cents to go away.
-
Crysby over Pasha??? Seriously??? Henrik halfway down the list??? I don't think so.

The thing I think with Sean Avery was, when he was here, he really didn't get into all the scrapes and stupid stuff. The reason is that I honestly believe guys like Shanny and Stevie went to him and said, "Look, son, we don't do things like that. This is the Red Wings, and we have a code of conduct." Once he got away from that calming influence, all hell broke loose. I think had he stayed, you might have seen a different player than what you see now.

Man, Derian Hatcher was the worst signing ever. I've had used flea collars that were more effective than he was. What a mistake that turned out to be.

We were told last season that you have to have a group of 20 or more to rent the suite. They have free snacks (including pizza), free drinks, and it's a great view. We went up there the first year it was open (at that time we could), and I even came home with the stat pack from a couple games. It's neat! Think we could find a group of 20 to do it? And yes, significant others would be included. I'd love to do it again. Mind you, it would have to be through a service organization (a la Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, etc.)
-
Please, God, no. I'm sure I could find a used flea collar that would be more effective.

1) Is, was, and always will be Pavel. 2) Dominik Hasek 3) Milan Lucic 4) Fedorov, Hossa, Kopecky. Not that I miss any of them by any means, but the way they left was pretty tacky. 5) Derian Hatcher. As useful as a screen door on a submarine.

I like section 106, but that's because I've become good friends over the years with usher Shelley Smith. He's a really sweet fellow. Of course, the veterans' suite is kickass, but they won't let us back up in there anymore without a group of 20. That sucks, because I can't think of 20 veterans around here who'd want to go to a Wings game - they're not really a fun bunch.

Desperate times call for desperate measures? Good grief...

At the hockey camp he's got going for kids this week, the kids filled his dressing stall with balloons for his birthday. How sweet. He said he feels, "like Benjamin Button." I don't care. Personally, I think you're like fine wine - you get better with age.

Their loss is our misery. Thank God for mute buttons.
