He has always been a very caring person...this just proves it once again.

More Pasha...no more broken hands, please, dear. More games live...gotta talk my other half into that one. Not a lot of juggling lines...keep together what works (Henrik, Pasha and Homer) I would love to see Pasha crack the 100-point plateau...that would be sweet. And I'm with the person above who said they'd like to see the Cup again. Me too.

If I could explain it, I'd be a genius.

I beg to differ. The things that Pasha brings to the table are things that you cannot measure by stats. And though you might accuse me of "homerism" or "bias", I still believe that there are qualities and characteristics that cannot be measured in stats. But, as I say, take it for what it's worth, which in my case isn't a whole lot.
-
Okay, so we have all these stats and facts that we use to argue our points. But there is something else to take into consideration as well. It's called intangibles. It's hard for me to explain what intangibles Pasha brings to the table, but you know in your heart that they exist. It's what brings his game up to the next level, and makes him that much more valuable. You can't put a finger on it, but you know it's there and without it, he's just another player. I've never found those intangibles in Ovechkin. I'm sure they are there, but I've not seen them. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but take it for what it's worth.

Next time he runs into a problem, give me a holler...my hubby and brother-in-law have a s***load of Trash-80's (yes, that was their affectionate name for them)...between them they might be able to come up with whatever you need. And it would get them out of my hair and my barn. You could only do me a favor.

I've never seen Ovechkin on a penalty kill of any kind. I've seen Pasha out on 5-on-3 penalty kills, and he's done a fabulous job doing so. Say what you want, but when the chips are down in the last minutes of a game, I'll take an all-around player like Pasha six days a week and three times on Sunday. I don't see Ovechkin changing his game to include any semblance of defense whatsoever. Yeah, it's nice to have a 50-goal scorer, but if that is all you base your team's game on, you're screwed. Give me 20 guys like Pasha, and I'll show you what a winner is.

Think about it...this should be an absolute no-brainer. Who's got two Stanley Cups, and who doesn't? Who has three Selke trophies, and who doesn't? And who is getting up and coming players compared to them? Wanna take a wild guess?
-
And how many on that list of so-called "Good announcers" are going to be in the Hall of Fame for their broadcasting talents? I'll take Ken and Mick over any of those other clowns. Hell, those tools in Nashville can't even pronounce names properly or even identify the players correctly half the time.
-
Of course it's Pasha. Number one: You won't see Ovechkin on the penalty kill - at least I've never seen him on one. Two: I seriously doubt you will ever see Ovechkin win a Selke trophy unless his game does a serious ( and I do mean SERIOUS) overhaul, which is highly unlikely. Three: Even Ovechkin admits he goes on YouTube and watches Pasha's highlights to glean tricks and shots and tips. Four: When Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was touted as the number one pick in the draft, who was he likened to? Not Ovechkin. And five: When the Wings drafted Tomas Jurco, who is everyone comparing him to? Again, not Ovechkin. I'd say it's a slap shot right in the net, and case closed.

Let me preface this by saying I am married to a long time computer geek/techno wizard. So I've had to learn a little about computers over the years (although it seems to have gone in one ear and out the other just as fast). The Commodore 64 computers are still in use by a lot of amateur radio operators. Don't ask me why, but they like them. In fact, I think my other half has one up in the loft of our barn that someone was going to throw out. I don't why he saved it, but he did. Far from being obsolete, they serve a purpose in a small but important niche. Perhaps that is the best way to look at it.

Jordan Owens won't be back? Darn, I liked him.

My first thought when I read this was, "Two s***s that pass in the night." Thanks for the best laugh I've had all day.
-
In a word, no. He's got more baggage than Fed Ex at Christmastime.
-
So now we have not one, but two right handed shots on the blue line? Hmmm...this may not be a bad thing to have in the arsenal.
-
May I say this one came as a surprise. Interesting.
-
Suckers! Better you than us. This just might teach Philly to be careful what they wish for. I give him a month before he's whining or injured.
-
It could be worse I guess. But I think he's looking at it as a significant improvement from Columbus. In that case, I don't blame him.
-
Nah, just post a facetiousness alert. We'll understand.
-
I'm happy for Mark. I talk to him every year at training camp, and he's always friendly, gracious and kind - and he loves my doggie. Congrats, Mark. It took thirteen years to get there, but you are worthy of the honor. First Michigan-born player to make the Hall. Quite an accomplishment. Good on ya!

What the hell else do they have to do in the summer in Montreal now that the Expos are long gone?
-
Thanks so much for letting us have this idiot full time. As if we haven't had enough torture with Mike Emrich, now we get this...what did we ever do to deserve this, anyway?
-
If he was being sarcastic, I could see the humor in it. But he's not. That's what worries me. Come on Kenny, do your best Chris Matthews..."Let's play Hardball."
-
I would have to put the top three in one, because it's hard to separate them and what they are worth to the team. I have to say that on the scale of Grand Theft, Pasha is numero uno. The greatest theft in history. Who knew what he would become when he was drafted? Hakan Andersson saw something in him that no one else did. Thank God he saw Pasha and kinda cast aside Dmitri Kalinin. I think we got the much better end of that deal. Good list.
-
Good...if he doesn't want to come here, that doesn't break my heart in the least. Go back to s***sburgh where they want your sorry little ass and your attitude. Jagr will never fit in here - he can't park his ego at the door.
