Red Wings Training Camp will be held September 17-20, 2011 at Centre Ice In Traverse City. No word yet on when the tickets will go on sale, but it never hurts to prepare ahead of time. As details come available they will be posted here. You can put this in the appropriate area, I was not sure where to put it.

I'm skipping this one again. Why cant we have one with some intrigue or history involved? I know Minnesota and Dallas probably wouldn't draw interest, but there's a history involved. Colorado deserves to get involved at some point. This theory that people want to watch nothing but Eastern teams is bulls***. As someone previously posted, only Bettman could take a good idea and screw it up. Of course, as my other half says, Bettman could f**k up a wet dream.

Between you, me and the man in the moon, I wouldn't pay him $2.50 - in fact, I'd make him pay us for the privilege to play here.
-
Oh hell no. Run as fast as you can the other way from this one. He'd be about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
-
I appreciate the kindness, but I'd be lying through my teeth if I were to wish you good luck. I cannot bring myself to root for your team. Sorry, but I have to be honest. I'm rooting for Boston.

How incredibly sad. He was a part of Pasha's summer hockey camp in Russia for a couple years. I hope to find some more information on this.

Someone beat me to this, and I have no idea how to delete it or close it, so if someone smarter than me would do it, I'd be grateful. My apologies for duplication.
-
I think if I were him, I'd take some time off and get healed. A sprained wrist is not worth aggravating just for one meaningless game.
-
I do believe I'll pass on this one again. And it might be because January 1st is on a Sunday. Though a Monday afternoon doesn't seem like it would draw that much of an audience. Oh well, what do I know?

Pasha could have been hurt worse than he was, and had no heart or desire at all.

I've said it before and it still rings true. To call Pasha amazing is like calling the Grand Canyon a hole in the ground. I don't think there is a word in the English, or any other, language, that adequately describes him. Such a joy to watch on the ice, and even more of a joy to be around off it. He is smart, creative, and inspiring on the ice, and gracious, generous, kind and wonderful off it. His number will hang in the rafters, bet on it.

It was a hell of a ride. The next four months are going to be slow going. I miss them already. At least I can still cheer for Boston, and if not them, then Tampa.

This is hard. I figure that Modano, Draper and Ozzie will most likely hang up the skates. The only one I really want to lose to anything but age is Ruslan Salei. He just didn't impress me. I miss the shot blocking that Andreas Lilja was willing to take, and I'd like to see someone else take up that mantle. And who is the idiot that voted for Nick??? Thirty lashes to you!

It was one hell of a ride. I'm so damned proud of Pasha...he proved beyond all doubt that he can play big in the second season. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs their head examined. Howie has shown he's capable of leading us into the next generation, Helm and Abby have great potential. This may be the end of the trail for Mike Modano, Kris Draper and perhaps even Ozzie, but they have absolutely no reason to hang their heads. Be proud of yourselves, gang. You're a wonderful bunch of warriors. We love you. See you in September. Meanwhile, I'm rooting for Boston. It would be nice to see an Original Six team walk off with the Cup for a change.

You never knew that? He's doubly cursed, by being both bowlegged and pigeon-toed. But put him on a pair of skates and he's as graceful as can be. Life is full of contradictions, isn't it?
-
My number one reason to love the game...Pavel Datsyuk. The best thing to come out of Russia since I don't know when.
-
What was it that Brett Hull said about age and wisdom trumping youth and stupidity? I think I like the odds of our experience and wisdom over their whatever you want to call it. But you're right...let's get through tomorrow night first.

That's it! You are a gentleman and a scholar.

My housemate found the neatest picture but it won't let me post it here for some reason. It's a picture of an invisible Joe Thornton...absolutely threw us into laughing fits. I wish I could post it here.

Whatever happens Thursday night, I am so proud of these guys. They have answered the call and shown what a class bunch they are. We're grateful to you for such an amazing comeback, and we know you have it in you to go to Vancouver and prove you're not a fluke. This WILL be history.

Oh you of little faith...

I'm rather surprised that the title of this thread survived our fearless and intrepid leader (and I mean that KINDLY, Matt!). All I can think right at this moment is something Pasha said once..."I believe because I can."

My housemate called him a "Five-star Chicken" Maybe this is one Shark who's developed a new brand of "Chicken of the Sea"... :dunno: Me, I like the new strain of flu.

As they said on an episode of "Monty Python", "You're just no fun anymore."
