Well, we started something with the octopus...Catfish in Nashville, rubber rats in Florida (good thing it wasn't real ones!), beef steaks in Calgary, I even heard a salmon got thrown in Vancouver. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

The drinks are on Konnan? You're on! I will warn you, though, my tastes are not cheap.

It's not nice to mess with Nik. Actions and words have consequences.

Boy, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one doing this! I thought it was ME who was jinxing them, but maybe not. Peeking in to check the score from time to time is the only way I'm doing it, so I don't put a hex on them. If this is what it takes for them to win, I'll keep doing it. As for your dilemma, well, you can only follow your conscience. I put my two cents in for what it's worth.

I have to tell you, once you go you are hooked for life. I went one day in '05 with my niece, and I was gone. Every year after that, my other half and I plan a year in advance for the next camp - we were planning for '11 the day after '10 was over. There are four of us who get together and camp at the Park...we have our favorite spot, and then our friends Art and Kathy camp in the site behind us. We go up the day before, and after we get set up, we sneak over to Centre Ice and see who's around. That's how I met Ozzie, Rafi, and Andreas Lilja one year. Hardly anyone was around and it was really nice. The weekend is worth it. Sometimes running around TC, you might even see a Wing or two. We went up to Tom's in Acme last year and ran into Jordan Owens (one of the prospects). He was buying bags of ice to put on his knees! Really sweet guy. I ended up giving Johan Franzen directions to Mabel's restaurant one day, and I heard that Mike Babcock and some of the prospects were seen at Subway in Acme one year (we missed them by 15 minutes). You never know! we definitely should get some kind of a party together one of the nights. They're pretty lenient on getting into the park that time of year, so maybe one of the nights we could have a campfire and all get together and swap stories?

I have to admit, he has said some very nice things about Pasha. I don't usually like him, but I'll give him credit for his kind words about some of our guys.

funny...the book I was reading last night was about the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team and the "Miracle on Ice". Irony????

The next time that little asshat asks for something, he'd better be damned sure he really wants it. Teach him a lesson, Nik!

I would venture to say that Ryan Clowe might choose his words a little more carefully next time when it comes to who he calls out. Nik Kronwall let him know that you should always be careful what you wish for.
-
You know, you could have had him. But you and how many other teams passed him up through six rounds of the draft. Now, as they said in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?", "That's your misfortune." Me, I worship the ice that man skates on.

I finished the game shaking like a leaf and with eyes filled with tears. I cannot find the words to say how proud I am of the guys and their never-say-die attitude tonight. What a game! And for all those who ever thought that Pasha didn't know how to step up and play in the clutch, this year's performance should shut them up once and for all time. Congrats, boys...I do believe.

I'm not ready to give in yet. I'm not ready to change my allegiance to Boston yet. This can't be the end. I know that eventually it will come to an end, but not yet. One more night, guys, that's all I ask. It makes me think of something my mom said to me a couple months before she passed away. "I haven't fought this long and this hard to give up this easily." She was talking about fighting cancer, but I think these words fit the boys well. Don't go down without a fight, boys.
-
My faith is unwavering. I have always believed in the boys. That faith has not changed.

Frankly I hope this goes seven games and they kill each other.

I don't know if it's the team as much as the arrogant people who think they're the only ones who deserve to win. I have to admit, though, that I've seen a whole lot worse than Vancouver. Montreal fans throwing stuff on the ice the other night - now that was rude, dangerous, and disgusting. They don't exactly endear me to their team. And Pittsburgh is even more hated around here than you think you guys are. We won't even go there. I think part of it is that we're getting tired of hearing that Vancouver is going to win walking away, and we don't stand a snowball's chance in Hell. And then getting that drummed into our psyches 24/7 so we'll eventually believe it. I don't.

I adore Pasha. I have since the first time I saw him. He's so wonderful to watch on the ice, but so much more off it. What a treasure we have in him, and I am grateful for it.

I should go and find the Sharkbusters one from last year. I thought that one was clever. Okay, I went back and it's not there. Maybe it's a couple years old. But can anyone with some creative skills (and more knowledge of Photoshop than I have) resurrect this one? It was so cool...Adam and Jamie replaced with Pasha and Henrik. Thank you in advance.

My first thought when I saw this was, "Relax, Reuben's gonna be fine. It's only a rabies shot."

Captain Nick Lidstrom has been nominated for the Lady Byng trophy, along with Martin St. Louis and Loui Ericksson of Dallas. Say what you want about the Byng, but this is long overdue. We all know that Nick takes very few penalties, and should be a perennial nominee, but this is the first time he's gotten recognized for his efforts. I say congrats, and I hope he wins.

Gotta go with Pasha, but I have a very close second race between Darren Helm, the unsung Drew Miller and Howie.
-
Was it just me or did anyone else hear the crowd last night yelling, "*******!" at Dan Carcillo? I rewound it to make sure, but they were definitely yelling it. Great game by Miller and the boys - I'd love to see Philly go down in flames, as I hate Pronger with a passion.

Anyone who's stupid enough to listen to Jeremy Roenick deserves to be hit upside the head with a rolled-up newspaper like a bad dog.

I have three words for Phoenix... SO LONG, SUCKERS

Sir, I bow to your superiority. You have outdone yourself. And you know that Pasha looks amazing in a tux.

How depressing a day can it get? It's snowing, and now I see this piece of news. Shoot me now.
