My housemate made me a red and white beaded necklace before the season started. It has a 13 entwined in it as well. I put it on the first day of the season, and it has stayed on since. Before a game, I'll give the 13 a kiss for luck. So far, not bad. The string broke once - and it was the day he got hurt. It's a constant with me until the end of the season, and then I'll take it off and hang it up til September and camp.

Maybe those of us who post here and are going to camp should have a get together up there one of the camp days. I think that would be nice.

Luckily, I didn't show up on the video, but Jeanie (aka Winged Horse) did. In fact, my other half, Jeanie and her hubby Dale all showed up and I was out of the scene...I had walked over to the truck to give Loki some dog food...Jeanie, I will make you a copy of it and ship it to you. It was colder than Gary Bettman's heart, and about 10:30 it started to rain, so we slept in the back of our truck with a heater. I have one request - can we do it in June next year???

Ah, my favorite time of year, when the creativity flows as freely as sap from the maple trees...

I never ever heard of this...but anything that proves that Pasha is head and shoulders above any other player is cool by me.

Should this not be something the city of Edmonton and the team work out themselves, without Buttman sticking his nose in?

Everyone has an opinion of who should be on the list where. All I know is that we've been blessed to have so many good players that we can debate over who should be where. Some teams would kill to have half as many people who deserve recognition for their careers. I know that Pasha is high on the list, and I'm sure there will be debate over where he is, but he's not done yet. Not by a long shot.

My gut tells me Doug Janik, Derek Meech, Tomas Tatar, and Joe MacDonald (if he isn't still here backing up Howie), Cory Emmerton is a possibility, maybe Brendan Smith, hopefully Ilari Filppula, and an outside chance for Jamie Tardiff. We'll see.

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Gordie at Traverse City in 2006. A sweeter and gentler man you could not ask for. He tried to feed my dog Galen (rest his soul) a banana! Didn't work, and then he said, "He'd probably prefer a calf." Happy birthday to one of the classiest people to ever lace up the skates.

I'm very inclined to agree with you. This season has been nothing short of disastrous for him. It's probably one he'd like to forget.

I honestly believe Pasha has been shorted on this list. He could leave Bure, Savard, Kovalev, and others in the dust. As far as being underrated, I'd be more inclined to say he's probably underappreciated by every one but true Wings fans. We know what a treasure we have in him, and we appreciate him. I think he'll hit the 1000 point mark. With luck he'll hit 700 next season, and he's already up around #7 or 8 on the Top Ten Wings scoring list. Not too shabby, if you ask me.

I have two words for Mr. Hossa. Spoken by Doctor Dave in "Pirate Radio", I think they apply here. "YOU BASTARD"

I know that my niece has been able to get tickets later than the in-person sale date, but as the years go on, and it gets more and more popular, the tickets get harder and harder to obtain that way. Recommendation is that you figure out how to get up there on the 16th. For those of us who are going up early, be prepared for any kind of weather, and if they do like they did last year, it will be kind of like an overnight tailgate party. Hotel reservations should be made now if they haven't already. I hear there is a soccer tournament in town the same weekend, so rooms will be at a premium. If you're not afraid of camping, Traverse City State Park is not too booked up then. It's $27 a night, and there is electricity, and showers are available. It's a nice park. We stay there every year. If you are into real roughing it, Arbutus Lake State Forest Campground is just south of town, and not far from the arena. It's $15 a night (I think), and there usually isn't anyone out there. It's really roughing it - no electric, and outhouses. But if you're brave (or desperate), it's a possibility.

God love him, what a treasure.

Congrats...here's to a healthy, happy little guy. And yes, Loo, Homer does have a son named Max.

My house mate had never seen this game until I played it for her. She loved it.

We're going up the day before and camping out overnight again. Did it last year and had a blast! Jeanie, I called John and Sandy and told them, so they are in the loop. Also Art and Kathy, so now the gang all know. Thanks for the heads up! See ya there on the 16th!

Datsyuk, Franzen, Hudler & Bertuzzi likely will not play

I don't know about y'all but this is starting to worry me. Especially Pasha not skating...something must be seriously wrong. That's not like him. -
I believe his apology about as much as I believe in politicians, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny.

He's a very smart cookie...you're wise to get him.

This tells me they are either erring on the side of caution, or they're hurting worse than we thought. I hope with all my heart it's the former and not the latter. Either way, at least they don't have to worry about that s***head Cooke taking them out. But I fear he may try for Henrik or someone like that. He needs to be suspended this morning or afternoon at the latest so we don't have to worry about him.

Travel wise I'd say Chicago. Also, it would be kinda neat to oust them in the opening round and bring down some egos a bit. God knows they deserve a ego deflation (their fans especially). Record wise, I'd have to go with Calgary. We swept the season series, and I think we could make short order of them. Who don't I want? Nashville, LA, Anaheim, Dallas...travel on three of the four, and I'm sick of Nashville.

Hopefully a day of rest will take care of both of them. We can only hope.
