Other than the fact that he couldn't win a faceoff to save his soul, he could have done a whole lot worse. But it's understandable, and he's forgiven. Huddie must have thought "monkey see, monkey do" was a good theory for the shootout. And is it me, or did it look like Joey Mac came out and challenged the shooters a bit? Whatever, it worked.

The only problem I have is being 5'1" and having taller people sitting in front of me...along with a hubby in a wheelchair who can't see anything because there are people standing in front of him. We loved being up in the Veterans' suite last year, because we got a great view and it was really nice, but they won't let us up there this year. Which totally sucks.

Thanks, Nev, I couldn't remember who said it. You may be right, they may have been the second line, but what I saw said they were the fourth. So even if that were true, that's still one hell of a fourth line. To those who included the '08 team, you have a very valid argument. I mean, we did get through some adversity to get to where we wound up, so I'd say that is a very reasonable theory. Of course, I also think the '98 team had a great hurdle to get over, and thus, might also have a good argument. But that's me.

Actually, to the person who mentioned Hull and Pasha on the fourth line, the names mentioned were Igor Larionov, Luc Robataille, and Tomas Holmstrom. I don't know which one you would consider the fourth line, but even if the fourth line was Pasha, Brett and Boyd Devereaux, that's still a hell of a fourth line. I know teams who'd kill to have a first line that potent.

Good luck! I have friends who have season tickets for the Griffins, and if they win tonight, my friends can get two free tickets to another Griffins game, which go to my other half and I. So let's hope they win!

Much as I loved the team in both '97 and '98 (and if any team needed a reason to rally round, we did in '98), I have to say the team in '02 was just phenomenal. I mean, look at the fourth line - two Hall of Famers on the fourth line - how many teams do you know who can make that claim? And it also gave us a chance to see a potential star for the first time...that year was proof that you really had to have something to crack the lineup as a rookie, and a certain someone did just that. And now look at where he is... And this is a team ('02) where I can honestly say I remember exactly where I was when the whole thing turned around and I knew that it was ours. I can't say that about '97.

I daresay it will be nice to have Stuie back, and Mike too. Healthy bodies are at such a premium.

What gets me is this: Why did he even bother in the first place, getting the hopes of all Avs fans peaked, and then go and do this. I feel for the Colorado fans in this situation - they really got a raw deal.

So he says he's retiring. 1) For how long this time? 2) Why should I believe you? 3) Why didn't you just stay away to begin with and not get Avs fans' hopes up? 4) Don't let the door kick you in the ass on your way out.

I daresay my housemate (a die hard Bruins fan) is not too happy at the moment, but they did look better today than they did the other day. Looks like Pasha and Huddie are developing some good chemistry together. Perhaps that line should stay intact?

Why, thank you. I hate to be mean, but damn, if anyone deserved to be out there last night getting his ass handed to him, it's Cooke. I would have been amongst the cheering throngs if he'd been on the receiving end of someone's punches. It would have been divine retribution.

I'm just sorry Cooke wasn't out there. I'd have paid to see him get a can of whoop ass laid on him.

Kristi, I know how you feel, because my housemate is a die hard Bruins fan. She didn't talk to me for a couple hours after the game.

As much as I'd love to see him get a nod for the Selke, he missed too much time and as such, won't be considered for anything this year. Oh well, even missing the time he did, he's still way better than a lot of guys who didn't miss any time.

Tim, it's a blast. I've gone every year since 2005, and it's always been a great experience. The guys are so nice and it gives you a chance to see them away from the ice. If you're lucky, you find out where they hang out in town and you can sometimes party with them. You have to do it at least once in your life just for the fun of it.

I fear that it's going to take a player ending up in a coma before they finally put the blame where it belongs - on Cooke's shoulders.

It reminds me of the time Chris Pronger was playing in St. Louis in '02, and he tried this trick with Stevie...and you know what happened then. Matt Cooke should try one of these knee to knee contact hits, and suffer the same consequences that Pronger did.

We went up last year the day before tickets went on sale and camped out, along with a few other devoted fans. It was like a small tailgate party, and lots of fun. I think we're gonna do that again this year.
