Perhaps it was Pasha's evil twin???
-
No photographs but I have two white Datsyuk jerseys, both signed. One red Datsyuk, not signed (yet - that's next fall in Traverse). One home and one away Moscow Dynamo Datsyuk jersey, both signed while I was wearing them. In fact, he asked me if I would like him to sign them. You think I was gonna say no??? One white Darren McCarty jersey, signed. That one I found in a second hand store for 13 bucks. I took it with me to Traverse in '08 just on a whim. That was the last time Mac was there. I got him to sign it for me. It's worth more than the 13 bucks to me now.

That second goal was amazing. God, I love that man.

I hope you're okay.

What gets me constantly is how much he makes it look effortless and easy, when deep in your heart you know that it's not all that easy, and schmucks like you and I could never even dream of doing a move like he does - any move. It never ceases to amaze me how patient he is with the puck, how he can wait for just the right moment to shoot, and how he can move. I was at the 6-0 blowout game with San Jose a couple years ago, and I watched him go sailing down the ice with the puck, stop in front of the goal and patiently wait for the right moment before he shot a perfect bullet into the goal. I just sat there with my jaw hitting the floor, amazed at his patience. Night after night, he just goes out and does his business. And he's so damned good. Makes me thank the hockey gods every day that he's ours.

Considering who was doing the refereeing, I'm actually shocked that we didn't get more s*** calls against us. O'Halloran hates us with a passion and usually puts the screws to us. I'm ashamed to say he is from my home town. But if he didn't do a bad job (and I haven't watched the game yet, so I don't know), I'd be surprised beyond words.

If you're looking for sympathy, the dictionary is your friend.
-
Yes.

If you're looking for sympathy, I suggest the dictionary. Somewhere between "s***" and "syphilis" Meantime, the next time I see Pasha, I owe that boy a hug.

Is she the missing village idiot?

A few words of a few languages, but not enough to say I can. TPBM is glad that it's the weekend.

Boy were we ever in for a big surprise!

Consider the source. Their "all-star" ****** bag got bested by our multiple Lady Byng winner, and they're still pissed about it. Hold a grudge, do we?
-
The guy should have been smart enough to just ignore it...but that would be too much to expect, I guess.
-
My only hope is that it is very handicap accessible.

Howie, Ericsson, Helm and Abby were all Black Aces. I don't think they get a name on the Cup, but I do believe they get a ring.
-
What always gets me is that he makes it all look so effortless and easy, when, if you or I tried it we'd probably break our necks or worse.

It's kinda funny...Igor Larionov kept telling Pasha he was going to score the winning goal in that game. Pasha looked at him and said, "No. YOU are." Damned if the boy wasn't right. I remember that game well. We sat up til past 1AM watching it. Loved every minute of it.

When one door closes, another one opens... He never had a boatload of points, but you can't fault the guy who has four Stanley Cups as part of his resume. Here's hoping the next part of the journey will be as positive and exciting as the last one was. Thanks for the memories, and all the times at training camp that you were a complete gentleman. You'll be missed.

I wish he would not have said he'd never wear that hat again. It looks so damned good on him. And yes, he does get paid $2 mil a year...he's worth it!
-
Yeah, I broke down and watched Cherry too, wondering what he would say. I was happily disappointed that he said nothing. Much better that way.
-
Hell, they were probably so embarrassed by the whole thing, they figured if it wasn't spoken of it didn't happen.

Well, I look at it this way. A job is a job. You do your job, you take your paycheck, say thank you, and when the contract is over, you go where you really want to be. I think that's what he's looking at. As for gooning it up with us when they come back, I think he's got enough respect for the guys that he'd look at them and say, "you gotta be kidding".

Great news to start off the week.

Thrashers goalie, Pavelec collapses few minutes into game..
Kira replied to HockeyCrazy3033's topic in General
I have to believe that the concussion came from when he collapsed on the ice. What the question still unanswered is: Why did he collapse in the first place?
