Put down the Kool-Aid, Peter, and just walk away. Far away. The farther, the better.

I'm with you on this one. I'm not sure this is an improvement. At least with Andreas, we knew pretty much what we were getting and what we had. This is an unknown quantity, injury wise and otherise. I'm kinda scratching my head on this one. Meantime, I'm gonna miss Lils...he was always a hard worker, good attitude, worked hard to make his way back, and he gets kicked to the curb. Wherever he lands, I wish him nothing but good fortune, and good journeys.

That's about the order I would think it to be as well.
-
Nor is there a word in any other language that could do that.

Boy do I know someone who will be absolutely tickled to hear this news! Welcome back, Cheli! See ya in Traverse!

The best thing I can tell you is patience. Lots of people are there and some of them are actually rude and pushy. But if you're patient and polite, and you aren't acting like you're collecting autographs to sell online (and there are people who do that - but the guys can pretty much smell them out), you stand a pretty good chance of getting some. I can tell you that Pasha is a very good one for coming out and signing, as are most of them. Henrik is kind of a hard one to get. We went over to the arena the day before camp officially started and some of the guys were out signing - I met Ozzie, Rafi, and the assistant coaches that day. And Dan Cleary seems a little standoffish, so don't be surprised. This will be camp #6 for me and number 5 for my other half. I look forward to it every year.

I'm not convinced. Why don't I want him? He doesn't strike me as the type who will be willing to drop his ego at the door, he is in it for the money only, and I just don't like his attitude. The world does not revolve around him. Now if you think you can convince me otherwise, good luck. I'm gonna be extremely critical of him. I want to see him sacrificing his body out there every shift, every night. Block shots, hit people who get in his way, fight for his teammates...everything. Leave your ass out on that ice every night - then I might be convinced. But don't bet on it.

I'm with Aussie Wing on this one. He'd better do everything up to and including walk on water to impress me. Otherwise, I'll still believe it was a waste of money.
-
I already have mine, thanks. Had them since April. But I know someone who'd love to go.
-
There is absolutely no way on the planet that I would EVER have Chris Pronger on the Wings. How dare you even think it.

It is the picture in my avatar. I took that picture in 2006 at training camp. It's probably the best picture I ever took and it is my favorite. You are welcome to use it. I'm not computer savvy enough to load them here. I do, however, have lots of pictures from training camps and games past, and if there is someone you do have a special request for, I can go through my pics and see what I have.

Yzerfan, I thought I was the only person who knew about Moose Drool. Stuff is awesome. Also good is Thunder Hole Ale from Bar Harbor, Maine. I like the way Monty Python said it..."Drinking American beer is like making love in a canoe. It's F**ing close to water."

I've had my tickets since April. I'm ready to go tomorrow!

We're Number Two! We're Number Two! I can see where Pittsburgh would be the top of the heap, it's in my top 4, along with Philly, Chicago and San Jose.

I'm with the person who said it's like asking a parent for his favorite child. I have good memories of all of them. Watching Stevie raise the Cup in '97, something that hadn't been done since I was born was amazing. I remember standing there at work with tears in my eyes. In '98 it was for Vladdie, and I cried when he came out on the ice and held the Cup. I can remember exactly where I was in '02 when Nick scored from center ice and destroyed Cloutier, the 7-0 laugher against Colorado, and the three OT game in the Finals. And '08, good Lord, how could I forget that one? I'm torn between them all.

I'll take him over Modano six days a week and three times on Sunday. Even if it's a two-way deal for the minimum, he's still worth twice Modano.

I would love to see some other teams get into this. I second Minnesota - Dallas in Minnesota. That game would sell out in a heartbeat. How about Colorado and Vancouver in Denver, Islanders - Rangers in, oh, Yankee Stadium. Devils and Flyers in Philly. And if you really wanted some rivalries, include the Canadian teams. Toronto - Ottawa/Montreal. This series has the potential to come up with some real great games, but by shoving Washington - Pittsburgh down our throats, the League (read Bettman) is turning off a lot of potential watchers. Me included. I say the Wings in would be nice, but only after other teams have had their fair turn.
-
Remember, only a true professional can spot another one right out of the box.
-
Couldn't you have imagined Toronto and Montreal, or Toronto and Ottawa? I would have watched that. I'm not a fan of either team, but the tradition would have been wonderful. s***tsburgh and Washington? No.
-
We also have another one who will not be watching the game. I bet there are quite a few people who won't. I wish they'd think about the fans of all the teams. Some of us don't give a rat's ass about Crysby. I personally would have loved to see someone like Minnesota and Dallas...a couple teams that don't get much exposure, but I would be willing to bet if you played that game in Minnesota, it would sell out in a heartbeat. How about a game in Colorado? I hope it's 60 degrees every day for two weeks before the game. It would serve them right if the ice was so bad they couldn't play, or even make ice.

We always eat before we go anyway.

I wondered about that too. It would be a very sweet gesture if it were that way.

Well, that certainly gives "casual dress" a whole new meaning. Note to my nephew, who's getting married at the end of August. Joe, if you even think of doing something like this, I will shoot you.
