I can think of worse places than Detroit. Trust me, in my travels I've been to some places I never want to go back to.

In all the years I've watched hockey, I don't ever remember that happening. How did it happen? Cam Ward became temporarily invisible??? Sure seemed that way.

I have a bunch that someone was getting rid of and gave me. Every once in a while I find a goodie in there. I found, among other things, a prospects card for Andreas Lilja, and a Shanahan rookie card. Every once in a while you get lucky.

Considering what we've been through this season, we should look back on this accomplishment as one of the best. To think that when we were back in December we were despairing of even making the playoffs, and to come to this point says a lot about our guys. Their courage, determination and work ethic is nothing short of a wonder. We tend to take our good fortunes for granted. I think this season has proven that a) We shouldn't, and b) We've accumulated the best damned bunch of hockey players we could ever ask for.

On behalf of all Red Wings fans, thank you for these kind words. And if it's any consolation, we really don't want him here either. No offense to you guys, but if we played you, that would mean we'd have finished sixth. And we don't really want that. So thank you. And for the record, I've never had a problem in downtown Detroit. I've walked downtown, been on the People Mover, gone to Tigers games and numerous Wings games, and I've never had a problem, and met nothing but nice people. That town isn't half as bad as people make it out to be. It's all in how you make it to be.

So he doesn't like Detroit. Wah, wah, wah. Guess what, moron - we don't like you either.

I send a message to Pasha before every playoff game...and every message ends the same way..."always remember you are loved". Worked in '08, almost worked in '09, it will work this year for sure!

Thank God for small miracles. Maybe there is some sense in his hockey head after all.

What's kind of ironic in all this, is that Pasha has said that his childhood idol is Igor. Go figure.

Definitely make a trip to Hockeytown Authentics. Cheli's is still alive and well - there's actually two of them. If you have a car, you can drive out to the original on Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. Also drive out to Novi/Northville...the Swedes all hang out there (except for Henrik), and you never know who you might see.

Considering all the adversity we've had, and everything we've gone through this season, to win is sweeter. And to win it all would be the most meaningful. I honestly believe that. So here's to the boys, and let's hope they do well. No matter how far they go, I'm still proud of them.
