Looking at the schedule, you realize there is a chance (albeit a small one) that we could run the table. Now wouldn't that be interesting??? GO WINGS! Pasha is now 5 goals and 11 assists away from milestone marks. He's 16 points from 600 career points, with 8 games to go. I'd love to see him hit the marks. GO PASHA!!!!

I don't remember those. I do have the Steve Yzerman figures that Little Caesar's gave away a few years ago, and also the Nick Lidstrom ones. I'd have loved to have the bobble heads of the Grind Line from a few years ago, and I do have a John Keating bobblehead that I got a few years ago as a gag present. And for the record, Nik Kronwall and I have something in common come May.

You can't keep that boy down for long...

I have the whole collection. They are in my kitchen. I drank the Coke, because they said it's better if you do. The cans won't deteriorate if you do. I also have the glasses that Arby's was giving away back then. The whole collection.

Far as I know, channel 664 is FSD-plus, until I hear different.

Happy Birthday, Howie! We love ya to death!!!!

Thank you for the backup.

Pasha gets double and triple-teamed constantly. The opposition is all over him like fleas on a dog and yet he somehow manages to slip away or finds a teammate to pass to. I am constantly amazed by his skills.

I think getting his ass beat by Jim Howard would have had the best effect of doing that.

It was in both the Free Press and the News this morning. I read it there.

That is an all time classic. Now, whenever I hear James Brown, I think of Pasha instinctively.

Well, at least Henrik has a little more class than Cindy. He said he didn't think Howie belonged there. Suck it up, you whiny ass fool...you got just what you deserved. Shut up and take the punishment.

Hot off the presses this morning. Red Wings training camp will be in Traverse City from September 18-21. There will not be a Gold Medal game this year, but the Red and White game will be happening. Scrimmages will be on the 18th-20th, with the Red and White game on Tuesday, September 21st. Tickets will be sold on site only on Saturday, April 24 between 10AM and 2PM. My recommendation is that if you want to go, get there EARLY in the morning. Tickets do not last long. Reserve seats for the scrimmages are $15 each, standing room tickets are $10 and mezzanine seats are $20. Red and White game tickets (which REALLY go fast) are $25 for reserve tickets, $20 for standing room and $30 for mezzanine. I am planning on going again this year, and hope to see some of you up there.

Penguins bashing thread(keep it within the site rules please)

I want Nik Kronwall to go to Cindy and do a number on him..."Say hello to my little friend"...and then drop him like a tree. -
It's nice to see a little bit of emotion once in a while. He doesn't go over the top like Ovechkin does, and I like that. When he scored the goal against Nashville, he was as happy as the crowd was and it was nice to see. I hope he keeps it up. And the 6 goals to 200, and 13 assists to 400 - boy, would I love to see him get those two goals accomplished...600 career points. Pretty awesome for #171 in the draft, but #1 in our hearts.

I've seen Pasha play in a few games now, and believe me when I tell you that when he gets that puck on his stick, the house goes insane...especially if he scores a goal. He's almost poetic the way he plays, and just makes it look so easy and effortless. I'm continuously blown away by him. I've met Flip up at training camp and he really is a nice fellow. Ive got some great pictures of him if you are interested. I've got some of them up on Facebook (PM me and I'll give you the link). I'll tell you this - he makes the women go crazy up there - they will scream when they see him. I'm not one of them, but I've heard it and seen it happen. You'd think The Beatles had hit town or something. I don't suppose you got to meet Pasha?
-
No. Believe it or not, they showed the sign on tv, and that's where I saw it. Kind of a bright green with black lettering? I'll be at the game Wednesday night in Detroit, but not last night. I watched it on the tube.

My white Datsyuk jersey (autographed by Pasha while it was on my back) has brought us luck in the last 15 home games we've been to. I'm not changing that pattern. When I go Wednesday night, I will have that jersey on again.

I have to admit, I have a soft spot for Andreas Lilja. I love all the Swedes, but I really have a soft spot for Lils.

Pasha is now at #9, with 581 points in his career. By next season he will pass Brendan Shanahan (633) and then will be aiming for the great Ted Lindsay at #7. I want to see him get 600 by this season's end. I hope he can do it - 6 goals away from 200, 13 assists from 400.

Not me, but I am going to enjoy the NCAA hockey tournament. GO BLUE!!!!!!

I just think that there is a sense of double standards. Not being specific on one call or another here, but you have to agree that some of the stuff that's going on is being let go, while other things have the League coming down on a player like a ton of bricks. I disagree with you about the hit on Savard being something to let go - I watched the video of that six ways to Sunday and he should have been thrown out for at least a couple games. It was deliberate. I don't want to have a knock-down, drag out fight with you on this, but there has to be some kind of standard set here, and so far I haven't seen that happen.

I saw your sister's sign...I didn't know that was your sister, but I thought it was neat to have a sign there for his birthday. Now you know how I felt when Pasha scored that beauty against Nashville right in front of me...it's a feeling you can't explain, kinda like watching an artist create a work of art. He's absolute magic. I'm so glad you got to meet Flip...isn't he a sweetheart? Very nice and polite. Congrats on the great night! Glad they gave you some wonderful memories! P.S. You should post the picture. I'd like to see it.

I finally got to see the hit and it was brutal to watch. He just went down like a tree. But I do believe there is a double standard going on here and it needs to stop. Players who are getting their wrists slapped for hits that put a player out for the season is totally wrong. It's time to get consistent on suspensions.
