With all due respect, Crosby/Ovechkin debates are getting old and tired. Enough already.

I see people in there all the time using a flash and I think they're nuts. They are sitting in the cheap seats, where you couldn't get a good flash pic if your life depended on it, and, as I said before, it's bright enough you don't want to use a flash Gizmo, the last couple times they never inspected the bag hanging on my hubby's wheelchair. But I know they ask women to have their purses open when they go in so they can make sure there's nothing in there that isn't supposed to be. Do go down to the ice level and get pics if you can. Sometimes you can get some good ones. I got a great closeup of Bertuzzi the other night.

I am so not technical. My other half, on the other hand, is a techno freak. Anything techno, he's into it. TPBM is thinking about going out and shoveling snow (as I have to do).

I'm sorry, but when and how did this turn into a Crosby/Ovechkin pissing contest, and more importantly, WHY???? Can we get back to the original topic, please?
-
Finally some encouraging news on the injury front. Be patient, Val, but get your butt back in gear soon, please. We need you!

Gee I never got that. Best thing to do on that is to ask when you go in. Someone should be able to tell you what to do on that. Have fun! Lots of pics of Pavel, please! And you don't need a flash - it's bright enough in there that a flash is a waste.

In the spring of 2008 I found a Darren McCarty jersey in a second hand shop. I didn't care how much they wanted for it, I was bound and determined that it would be mine. I got it for 13 bucks. That fall, I took it with me to training camp, somehow hoping that he might be there. Lo and behold, he was. I got him to sign the jersey, my hubby took a very nice picture of the two of us together, and I felt lucky that I was able to talk to him for a couple minutes. He was gracious, kind and very sweet. That is the memory I will take of him with me. I wish you good spaces, my friend...wherever the journey takes you, go with a cheerful heart, knowing that you will always be loved.

Sacreligious. Gordie Howe would even say, 'Oh hell no" to this harebrained idea.

Don't look at me to take that one. I don't do sucker bets. If he can get it going, he will hit the 600-point plateau by the end of the season.

It's a play like this that makes me very glad goalies wear masks/helmets. I don't even want to imagine what would have happened had he not been wearing one.

"Uninterested" or not, he's still miles better than a majority of players out there on the ice.

I was at the game tonight, and I have to say, he played one hell of a game. I too was skeptical about him at the beginning of the year, but this is one plate of crow I'll happily consume. Throw it in the slow cooker with some barbecue sauce and let it cook all day, if you please.

I think the frustration is getting to him and it's eating away at him. I know he was relieved the other night, and he reacted kind of small time tonight on Homer's goal, but he's not one for letting his feelings show that much. I did see him get really angry one night, and he threw his stick in the room, anger on his face as obvious as blood on snow. I haven't lost faith in him yet, and I won't...this will pass, and we'll see our smiling forward again. He does care - he's trying but I know how it feels to be snakebit. Patience, my Pasha...you will be rewarded.

Whoever said that should be the next person that Nik knocks into next week.

The guy gets booed every time he has the puck, and he thinks he's gonna get his number retired here? Welcome to another episode of "Faerie Tale Theatre".

Where did they come up with those disgusting gloves? An antique store???
-
At least this one didn't cause you to go into epileptic seizures like those striped ones did, or remind me of a prison uniform from "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" The color was nice. Thanks for the laugh.

It's a shame some people have to be really petty about things like this. How much do you want to bet that if the one guy had gotten it, he would have put it up for auction on Ebay?
-
And you're whining because....???? If you're looking for sympathy, pal, I suggest a dictionary.

I know a lot of people go to Greektown Casino after the game. Great if that's what you're into, but it's not my thing.
-
Which game are you going to? I'll be at the Dallas game on the 30th. As for things to do during the day, the Institute of Art, the Science Center, Hockeytown Authentics, lunch at the Hockeytown Cafe or Cheli's. There are casinos if you're into that (I'm not). I'm sure you can find something to do.

Brendan, I will miss you. I think we should get rid of Bettman and make Shanny the commissioner. In tribute to our newly retired Shanny, this should bring a smile. Remember this? "No sax before a game"

Hindsight is always 20/20 as we well know. But I'll tell you this - getting out of Buffalo was the best thing Maxim did for himself. No doubt in my mind of that.

I also had a nice experience with the Wings. We buy our tickets and ask for a relocation, since my other half is in a wheelchair. Through relocating, we have made friends with a couple of the ushers, Shelley Smith and Herb Pogge. We came in the other night and ask for Shelley's section, the top of 106. We were told no problem, but since there were going to be so many there, I might have to stand behind Terry's chair all through the game. I said okay, but deep down I had some problems with that because I have arthritis in my knees (old age, you know), and I never know when they might just desert me and I would go down. Shelley gave me a big hug, and then I told him what they told me about standing all night. He said, "Sit down. We'll see about this standing bit." And that's where I sat all night long - no standing behind the chair. So if you go to the Joe, go to Section 106 and say hi to Shelley. Also cruise over to section 226 and give Herb a hug. He's been relocated himself. They moved him because he now suffers from Parkinson's and they don't think he can climb steps anymore, so in 226 he doesn't have to climb stairs.

First of all, hell no to him. Don't want him. Second, son, you should be damned glad you have a job at all. I can bet you there are a lot of goalies who'd give their catching glove to have a position on an NHL team - hell, any team. Be grateful for what you have.
