Without You - Harry Nilsson (the original, not that awful remake of Mariah Carey - Harry would be rolling in his grave if he heard it)
-
Thanks for the backup, Tiff. That's the point I was trying to make. As far as talking to them, a simple hello can break the ice.
-
Not really. It scares the dogs. TPBM is happy the boys won tonight.

I'm not one for flying so I guess I'll take the traffic, though I'd probably not be in a place where that would be a problem. spicy or plain mustard?

Sweet Cherry Wine - Tommy James

What a cool idea. I won't tell you about the time we made up fake blood and scared a bunch of kids out of their minds. As to a heap of things to do, they're getting done - slowly, but getting done. TPBM is hoping the guys get their wits collected together and start playing better.

Who's to say the 9-year-old didn't learn it from Pasha????
-
I'm afraid to ask if anything else can go wrong.
-
I know Pasha doesn't like to sign sticks, so that may be an option for not taking. A practice jersey for all the guys to sign might be nice. I took a hat with me to camp and got a lot of signatures on it...Pasha, Homer, Nick, Valtteri, Derek, Rafi, Jason, Danny, Nik and even Mike Babcock...and a few more as well.

Neither one turns me on...I guess if I had to choose, a jaw breaker. I can break it up into smaller pieces before I try eating it. Orange or tangerine?

I know I should root for the US, but with teams like Russia and Sweden, I don't think we stand a snowball's chance in hell. I have to root for Pasha and Team Russia. Sorry, kids, but my three are Russia for the gold, Sweden the silver (losing the Mule hurts their chances), and Canada for the bronze. What can I tell ya? Also, this is the last Olympics that the NHL is contracted to...but a lot of players are saying they'll play for their countries in '14 and to hell with what the NHL says. I know Ovechkin and Malkin have already said they will, and damn the consequences.

I Go Crazy - Paul Davis

Depends on the time of year, and whether I'm sick or healthy. If it's cold or I'm sick, hot tea with honey and lemon hits the spot. PC or Mac?

Tweeter and the Monkey Man - Traveling Wilburys

Not me. Just the regular bills. Nothing out of whack here. TPBM has a dog that makes him or her laugh a lot.

Boots are so clunky - at least mine are. But up here where it snows, they're a seasonal necessity. I prefer shoes but that's neither here nor there. Rain or snow?
-
I probably should since I have to get up in the morning, but probably won't. TPBM is glad tomorrow is a holiday.

I'm used to apologizing. Done it my whole life. Chicken or beef?

In the words of the old Marc Cohn tune... "Take me down under the wishing tree And lay your healing hands on me" Hey, Pasha, I've got a nice little knot between the shoulders...wanna take care of it???

Gee, the two I talked to must have been a rare exception. I met a couple of Blues fans the last time we were in Niagara Falls, and nicer people you could not have asked for. They were polite, wished us luck, said we had a great team...we must have talked for a good 15 minutes or so. Really nice people. They must have been the outcasts or something. I've also met Ottawa fans, and Calgary fans, and not a bit of problem. And my housemate is a Boston fan, but we're her second team, so that's okay. Now, Ohio State fans I will agree with. They're an arrogant bunch of SOB's. I went to see Michigan and Ohio State play hockey one night at Yost, and the OSU fans were throwing pennies on the ice. They ended up stopping the game and telling them to either cut it out or be ejected. They booed! And that was the hockey fans...I hate their football fans even more. Yankee fans are even worse. Arrogant, obnoxious, loud mouthed jackasses. I'm ashamed to admit my niece Amanda is a Yankee fan. *shudders*. I'll also put in a vote for Pittsburgh fans.

NO to Federov and Chelios. If anyone retires Cheli's number it would most likely be Chicago, but seeing that Brent Seabrook is wearing #7, I don't see that happening. And HELL NO to Fedorov. I have my reasons, don't ask. Vladdie is kind of a tossup. I think just keeping it out of circulation is fine. The next number to be retired is certainly Nick's #5. That's a given.
