I was wondering when this was gonna make YouTube. I would have done it but I'm so not technically inclined.

You know, it is kinda sad that the only way you will give the guy credit is if he scores ten hat tricks over the next five games. He's out there bustin' his ass every night...six shots yesterday, some of them pretty close. I realize close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, nuclear warfare and slow dancing, but him getting close is a hell of a lot better than some guys who don't even have shot one. And you have to admit he's been pretty responsible when it comes to defensive duties. Want proof of that? How about the 5-on-3 the other day that he was out for? Over a minute and he did pretty damned well. So can we quit finding fault with the guy? His time will come. Honest.

I don't know, six shots yesterday and four hits? Doesn't exactly sound like slacking off to me.

I agree. This town has banked on the "what have you done for me lately" attitude for years. Yes, Pasha is not on the scoreboard. But how many of the things he's doing are things that don't show up on the stat sheet at the end of the game? Hits, faceoffs, takeaways...you don't see those things at the end. They don't show up on the stats, but you know they're as important as who puts the puck in the goal. Without those plays, you don't get the goals. Look at how he worked his ass off the other night on that 5-on-3 penalty kill. You could not ask for more. Look at how he sacrificed the body for the goal Sammy scored. And even today, how many times did he go in the corners and muck for the puck and get it away from the Hawks? I stopped counting. The goals will come if they are meant to. You can't force it. In the meantime, he's going to play with the intensity and the heart and the desire that he would have if he was scoring. So relax...this is no panic time. Chill. If it's meant to happen it will. It's like Pasha said, "You can plan, but God decides."

You know, you don't realize how much he contributes until you don't have him. The other night when we had to fight off that 5-on-3, I kept thinking how many shots he would block and sacrifice his body on, and I missed him trememdously. Don't get me wrong, the defense out there during the kill was great, but Andreas just adds that much more of a presence. To see him come back, even if it's not til the finals, would be a wonderful thing.

In my book, he'd have a hard time beating Chris Pronger for that honor. But it would be like 1 and 1A. While I think of it, do you think we could put those last words on Perry's tombstone???? Seems rather appropriate.

I may have to resort to last year's trick and turn the mute on the tv and plug in the XM to hear Ken Kal and Paul Woods instead of those Versus tools. The best of them is Dave Strader, but that's stretching it. Too bad they can't borrow the tandem from FSD.

I'm not worried about Pasha. When you have two and three guys draped over you constantly like fleas on a dog, you can't expect even someone as talented as Pasha to have that good of luck. And you have to admit, he was constantly dogged by two and three guys at a time. But he still went into the corners for the battles, he still played with the puck as much as he could to get his linemates open, and he still made some plays that other teams would die for. Pasha has always had pretty good luck against Chicago and Khabibulin. If anyone is going to expose the frailties of the Hawks, it's Pasha. I have a good feeling about this.

Maybe this round he won't have people all over him like fleas on a dog. He's due and he usually does pretty good against Khabibulin. I expect that the sleeper will awaken.

Thank God those Sucks are heading to the golf course. Good riddance!

I am not worried about Pasha. I know in my heart he's due, and he's trying everything he can think of to make something happen. But when you have two and three guys all over you like fleas on a dog, you can't expect to make miracles happen. I know he's due, and I have a feeling when he finally snaps out of this blue funk, he's gonna be lights out. Just keep doing what you're doing, sweetie...it will come to you in time.

If he were to walk with all three, he'd be the very first player to do that. If he wins the Byng and the Selkie, he'd be on a very short list of players who have done that. And if he wins the Byng for the fourth year in a row, he'll be only the second player in history to do that. It hasn't been done since the '30's. Our Pasha is on the verge of some very historic happenings. I am proud of him, and I think all of us who love the Wings are too. I hope he can do it...I really do.
