Seeing the Columbus fans throwing bottles and stuff out on the ice reminded me of a Michigan - Ohio State game years ago at Yost...the Ohio State fans were throwing pennies on the ice that night. Dangerous as all hell in both cases. What if you would have hit someone? Did you ever think of that?

My hubby tried to get me to go trout fishing with him. I looked at him and said, "It's game day - if you think I'm missing a playoff game, to go fishing with you and get bored out of my boots, you are seriously mistaken." So he took his nephew instead. Though he said last night on the river that there was a "Let's Go Red Wings" cheer going up and down the river among the fishermen. Hmmm...wonder if they did it tonight???

This guy plays his heart out. He's playing like he has something to prove. Not to us, mind you - we know what he's worth and what he can do. It's everyone else in the League that he's trying to convince - he's not what you think he is. He's more - a hell of a lot more. They say that prophets and artists are never appreciated in their own time. Well, this is one artist who is firmly convinced that he needs to buck that belief. And he's doing it. If we should go all the way to the end (and I see no reason we won't), there has to be some serious consideration for Conn Smythe on the horizon.

As a long time Muppet lover, I have to say I like this one. I'm surprised there was no Beaker, Swedish Chef, Statler, Waldorf or Kermit. But that's okay. I still love it. Maybe Statler and Waldorf were sitting in the Columbus announcers' booth. Perhaps???

God only knows. But Pasha will get the last laugh in the end. He's proving once again that he's no flash in the pan. He's playing like he wants it - and wants it badly. I'm loving every minute of it. If he doesn't get some consideration for MVP this season, something is definitely wrong.

How beautiful, sad, funny, and most of all, endearing. How you cannot like this person is beyond me. As for me, well, I sent a message to him today before the game, and the last words were, "Always remember you are loved." I hope he knows.

I was stunned to hear the news. He's only a year older than I am. I remember that summer well. Mark was a refreshing change from all the players whose egos and paychecks fought to see which one could get bigger first. He would have pitched for next to nothing, he loved what he did so much. A true character, quirky, funny, but downright genuine. The game of baseball really needs more characters like he was, and he will be missed by all of us who remember that summer and loved watching him. Rest in peace, Mark.
