One question...suppose Pasha and Nick were given express orders by their physicians not to travel. Were they supposed to defy their orders and go to Montreal anyway? There is a double standard here...there is the rules for Crosby and then there's the rules for everyone else.
-
I'd love to tell Bettman to go f*** a duck, and play Nick and Pasha, but if I know those two, they will quietly sit the game out and not cause trouble. But I'm glad Holland and the NHLPA are going to the mat for them.
-
Quite true, my friend...quite true. Something tells me there is more to this than we know, but I don't think we will ever know the whole thing. I'd still like to hear from Nick and Pasha...since they are the two in the middle of this.

Consider the source. Brian Burke needs a cheese factory to go with his whines.
-
And at this moment, the Islanders are desperate. I see this happening. And quick.
-
I never liked him...ever. It's a personal thing. "Turtles and lawyers", eh? Well, Lemieux would qualify as a turtle in my book. Look out, Claude!
-
Okay, so now they are saying it isn't really a suspension, because they still get paid. So what if they said, "to hell with it" and played anyway??? What would the League do to them??? I would like to hear Pasha and Nick's side of this before we condemn them to hockey hell. It would only be fair.
-
Now watch...the Islanders will pick him up only to have Columbus ****** him out from under their noses.
-
I'm going to assume that you have never had tendonitis before, and don't know what it can do to you. Speaking from experience, it hurts and can play merry hell on your ability to perform even the simplest tasks. Nick and Pasha would not ask for time off like this if they were not hurting...they are not that type of person. Neither one of them.
-
I seriously doubt you'll get thrown in jail for it, but you will most likely be escorted out of the arena. If you insist on throwing it at the San Jose game, would you do me a favor??? Throw it at Joe Thornton and don't miss. You'll earn the eternal gratitude of one of my best friends, who hates him with a purple passion and has since his days in Boston. Better yet, if Roenick is back, heave it at him and be accurate.

Okay, let me understand this...he says Pasha got "a gust of wind" that propelled him past the D and gave him the goal. If that is so, then how do you explain all the times that Pasha's done that in arenas around the league???? Are you going to claim there is a wind tunnel in the Zamboni entrance???
-
It doesn't really have the impact during the season that it does in the playoffs. I still say save it for the finals, and then hit Buttman with it. That would be a pretty awesome sight in high def.
-
Okay, I can go along with that...I defer to your wisdom. You know, I'd like to hear what Pasha and Nick have to say about all this, but I bet you they will sit it out quietly and not raise a fuss. They are both too classy and dignified to make a stink.
-
Can I give you a piece of advice??? Save it for the Finals, when Gary Buttman has to deliver the Cup into the hands of Captain Nick. Then you throw it and hit that douchebag in the side of the head. You will be the hero of every Wings fan in that arena.

To put it well and succinctly...make Steve Yzerman the Commissioner of the NHL. Problem solved. Oh, I heard that Theo Fleury put the boys under the boss. Yeah, the poster boy for good behavior (not)...like he's got room to criticize. As for Burke, remember the sign at the '02 playoffs: "Shut Up...Lose...Go Home" . Still applicable.

I'd take Cheli at 47 over a hell of a lot of players half his age. God love ya, Chris!

I haven't seen that crooked an election since 2000...or was it 2004???
-
What can I say except I'm glad you saw the light. Welcome to reality.

No kidding. These are two of the most unselfish people I have ever met in my life. How dare someone call them that when they have no idea. You don't know what these two do for the fans, not only around Detroit, but also at training camp. They both will spend hours standing outside the arena signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. I know this to be true, because they have done it every year I've gone to camp. Their patience is incredible. They treat the volunteers with the utmost respect and the fans as well. They are as unselfish as the day is long.

Sir, I tip my hat to you. You are a gentleman and a scholar. I have family in Northern Virginia, and if I ever get out that way, I'll be sure to find you. You can buy the first round, but the second is mine.

If they are looking for sympathy, I suggest a dictionary.

Nick and Pasha have more class and panache in the nail of their little toes than these media idiots have in their whole bodies, or could ever wish they had.

The People Mover is a very economical way to get around the city. My husband and I use it every game we go to. Cheli's is a good place to eat, so is the Hockeytown Cafe. I'd recommend taking the Avs paraphenalia off before you go in there though. If you're adventurous, there is a nice little place in Hamtramck that has great food. PM me if you want to know how to get there. It's mainly Greek/American cuisine, but I can vouch for their chicken Alfredo as well. As far as wearing the enemy colors in the Joe, I sat beside a guy with a Chicago Blackhawks jersey last year and we got along fine. The last game we went to we had three Dallas fans in front of us, but we ignored them. The seats at the Joe are all pretty accessible. Our favorite place to sit is Section 106. Have fun!

I knew there was a catch to this. "Pierre McGuire" and "thinks" cannot be used in the same sentence unless there is a negative between them.

And you wonder why we hate that douchebag Crosby. I bet if the tables were turned, he'd be getting ten tons of support and sympathy. How much you wanna bet???
