I have it but I've no idea how to post it to You Tube. I'm so technologically disinclined. I can send it to you if you like, and you can do with it whatever. PM me if you want a copy of it. You're right, it was absolutely classic. He's just a blast to interview and to talk to anytime. I've enjoyed the times I've had to talk to him at training camp. He's got a great sense of humor, and he's really a nice guy.

You had to know when he pulled off the ten for ten shots/goals bit at camp his rookie year that there was something really special about the guy. You could tell even then that there was a star simmering under the surface, and that all he needed was time and confidence. Now that time has passed and he's got all the confidence, you see what he has become.

Though I am tickled that Nick and Pasha are going I really have to question a couple of the choices. One, Keith Tchacuk (sorry I can't spell)...a minus 11, and he gets the nod over Brad Boyes??? Two, Dustin Brown...minus 7. Three, Milan Hejduk...minus six. Really, I know you want to get every team represented, but come on, surely there are better than these three guys. As to no Dion Phaneuf, I won't miss him.

Just remember, kids, when you're right no one remembers...and when you're wrong, no one forgets.

Actually, it was the cartoons I was referring to. Not many people here are of age to remember them. But I remember Felix Potvin too. Just goes to show you how old I am.

Has he had his rabies shot??? That's getting awful damned desperate, when you have to bite someone. Since when did Mike Tyson start playing hockey anyway??

Too stringy of meat to eat that way. A crock pot with barbecue sauce will do.

I'm in agreement with you on that last sentence. Even Sergei Fedorov in his prime wasn't as creative and fun to watch as Pasha is. I sit in wonderment every night, curious to see what new trick he's gonna pull out. He's got a magic bag that would make Felix the Cat envious. (And if you can remember that, you're aging yourself. ) I'm going to see him again on Thursday night, and I'm hoping he'll pull something off that makes Marty Turco cringe.

Oh how soon some people forget the days when there were those on this very board who were screaming that he should be traded, that he choked during the playoffs, that he wasn't worth $6.7 million. I remember those days vividly, because I was one of the ones who stood up for him and defended Holland's decision to keep him. And my patience, as well as management's, has paid off in volumes. Like the entry above, I have been one of Pasha's biggest fans and supporters since day one, and it will be a cold day in you know where before that changes.

That's our Pasha! Little story in today's Free Press: "Pavel Datsyuk's winning shoot-out goal against Minnesota on Saturday was so impressive that video of the goal had more than 10,000 hits on You Tube by Monday. "The move may be getting famous, but Datsyuk has yet to name it. "'Name?' he said. "Goal.'"

Not me. Water balloons, yes. Paint, no. TPBM is wondering why I'm writing this at 5AM and haven't been to bed yet.

Hell, even I can throw a punch better than that. That was embarrassing. By the way, anyone care to join me in a rousing chorus of the "Meow Mix" theme???

We wound up doing that for the Wings/Sharks game. It isn't bad if the street and sidewalks are clean but try to negotiate that path on snow covered streets and sidewalks when one of you is in a wheel chair. Not easy. For the Wings/Kings game we parked in a lot near Renaissance Center and took the People Mover. It cost us $6 and hardly anyone was parked there. We will probably do that again Thursday night for the Wings/Stars game.

Nope, not moi. I don't even own a system that could play it. TPBM is enjoying a peaceful Sunday.

At least Ovechkin had some remorse for what happened. He stood outside the Philly dressing room after the game and apologized to the team for what happened. And the look on his face when it happened was just as plain as day...he was devastated. This one there was no remorse...it was intentional. Four games is well-deserved. I hate that little bastard almost as much as I hate Chris Pronger. And that's a lot. By the way, you should not use such terms as "fairy" and "***" to describe him. Even if you mean them in derogatory terms, you are insulting those who usually get those words thrown at them. Call him what he really is - a cheap shot bastard.

As time has gone on, he's gotten to the point where his confidence has increased by leaps and bounds. And he's at the point where he knows he can let a little of his emotions show. When he was in Russia, you didn't see that kind of thing very often. But here, he knows that he can let loose and let his true self show through. Frankly, I love seeing it. It's great to see him smile and show a little bit of emotion.
-
And you wonder why I love watching this guy. I wish I could have seen it live, but I got the chance to see him during the San Jose game, and his incredible patience with the puck is just amazing. He makes the opposition look sick, and doesn't think a thing about doing it. It's just like another day at the office for him.

Who cares??? At least he scored them all for our side!!! And all three of them are still looking for their jocks somewhere in the respective arenas. Whoever said this guy should be traded had better have a lot of barbecue sauce for the crow they are eating.
-
Somewhere tonight, Marty Turco and Tomas Vokoun are thinking, "Well, we're not the only ones now that have been suckered by that move." And Josh Harding is wondering which row his jock landed in.

Fenway Park...Boston and Montreal. They hate each other with a passion. If not there, then Olympic Stadium in Montreal. Canadiens and Leafs. They also hate each other. It would be like the Hatfields and McCoys.

Absolutely not. The All-Star game is a contradiction in terms. It's not all stars and it's not what I would call a game. The Winter Classic should be just that - a game that is remembered for years, because of the atmosphere, and the game itself. This one will be remembered, just as last year's was. But do you remember any of last year's All-Star game? I remember more of the Skills competiton than the game.

GDT 2009 Winter Classic: Red Wings 6, Blackhawks 4
Kira replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in Hall of Fame
What a game...it must have been a thrill to watch it live. Note to Pierre McGuire: The wind had nothing to do with Pasha getting that goal. It's called talent...which you, of course, would know nothing about. Pasha has more talent in the fingernail of his left pinky than you do in your whole body. Wind, my ass. As to whether to play one at the big house...I'm all for it. Detroit and Toronto...it would sell out in a heartbeat.- 1,043 replies
