The only place I've found it is on Red Wings TV. Hopefully someone will put it on You Tube.
-
I'm hoping that Pasha comes up with a double header - the Byng and the Selke both. He deserves it. Babcock might win the Adams, though Boudreau should win it. I'd like to see Nabokov win the Vezina for the same reason - deserving. Nick is a no-brainer for Norris #6, I'm afraid Cheli doesn't stand a chance for the Masterton. The rest I could care less.
-
I seriously doubt he said that. It's someone's lame pitch for the site...but not Pasha's.

Dom, thank you. You gave us some great memories, great hockey, and class. You were a trooper when the chips were down, and you are going out the way you deserve to go. I'll probably shed a tear, because it hurts to say goodbye to any of the Wings (I cried when Stevie hung them up too). But know there are a lot of people who love and respect you, Dom. May you have a long, happy life with family and friends surrounding you. You will be missed.

I so envy you guys...but I guess I get my chance in September.

Nice work!

I know where you are coming from. I too have memories like that, but mine are with parents. On January 16, 1997 I lost my mom to cancer. She did not live to see The Captain lift the Cup, though some words she said before she passed fit the guys and the team so well, now as well as then..."I didn't fight this long and this hard to give up this easily." Those words are forever a part of me. Now, here it is, 2008. We've won it again. And I am losing my father. I found out he probably will not survive the summer. Yet he did get to see the guys raise it one more time. It's a whole new world of faces from '97, but it's still as magic and wonderful. My memories of this team go back to training camp last September. I have been there the last three years and I've met a lot of the guys. They are some of the sweetest, kindest, classiest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Kirk Maltby, Tomas Holmstrom, Jim Howard and Pasha have been kind enough to let me have a photo with them. Pasha has autographed both my Moscow Dynamo jerseys for me - in fact, he has asked me if I would like him to do that - how many athletes in pro sports would take the time to do that? I've got my tickets for Traverse already, and I'm looking forward to it. But for now, thank you to all the guys...to Andreas, Kyle, Nick, Justin, Dan, Derek, Dallas, Kirk, Aaron (you were so sweet at camp - I hope you come back), Brett, Brad, Cheli, D-mac. Jiri (thanks for making a point of signing my book after everyone pushed me away- you didn't have to but you did), Brian, Ozzie, Kris, Jim (you were a good sport), Mikael, Dom, Henrik, Mattias, Darren, Mark, Jonathan, Valtteri, Nik, Kopi, Johan, Homer, and especially Pasha. I will see you guys in September - count on it. I love you all.

I so envy you...I wish I could have been there. Thanks for the beautiful pics of Pasha...

Best place for me to get autographs is training camp in September. Pictures, autographs, even a hug or two. Can't beat it.

I'm wondering if they will bring it to training camp in TC in September. If they do, I'll be there.

Can someone, anyone, with access to the tv coverage of the parade tomorrow, make a DVD copy of it for me? I'll definitely reimburse you for your time...PM me if you can, please. I asked my brother to do it but if I know him he'll forget about it. Thanks in advance, Pat (aka Kira)

In 1997, I lost my mom to cancer...she didn't see us win the Cup. Now it's 2008, and I'm losing my father to Alzheimer's...and we win it again. Life, as Pasha says, is full of paradoxes. This is for my mom and dad... It's also for all of the loyal fans who stay up til 1 and 2 AM watching the west coast games...and the ones across the pond who get up at 4 and 5 AM to catch games. A player? It's for Pasha...who finally - FINALLY shed the "Playoff choker" and "soft Euro" tags for all time. You aren't anywhere near those things, sweetheart. Not any more. It's also for D-Mac. What a redemption of a soul...

Actually he really does...Igor Larionov. But it's still funny. He's got such a wicked sense of humor. James Brown, eh? Now if he starts singing and dancing like him, we're in serious trouble.

My Wings moment was seeing Pasha get his very first hat trick. I cried with joy, I was so proud of him. The way he brought his game to a whole new level this season was amazing. No more "playoff choker" and "soft Euro" for him. He earned that Cup, kids. And he'll be recognized for his efforts with the Byng and the Selke both. I feel it in my bones. Non-Wings moment...watching Boston and Montreal. One of my dearest friends is a die hard Bruins fan, and I recorded some of the games for her because she is in Raleigh and can't get them. So I got to see young Milan Lucic, who impressed me greatly. I wish we could steal this kid from Boston, but no such luck. He's a feisty devil who's gonna be good, wait and see.

Does this mean my McCarty jersey is now worth more than the 13 bucks I paid for it?

I'm thrilled for Dallas. When they were speculating on who Nick would hand it to, I looked at my hubby and said, "Dallas." Sure enough I was right. But I'm also thrilled for Darren McCarty. Whoever would have thought that he would come back from the edge of despair to this? So wonderful. I cannot imagine what he is feeling right now.

It's a good thing I'm used to being up late. I'm too wired to go to sleep.
-
He did. His favorite player growing up was Igor Larionov. Can't think of a better mentor, can you? I hope somewhere tonight, Iggy is proud of him. I am. God love these guys...they made me want to put my fist through the wall the other night, and tonight all I can think of is how much I want to find Pasha and hug him. I love this bunch of guys to death. From Camp to the Cup, I followed them all season. And come September, I'll be ready to do it again. It's gonna be a hell of a summer.

What did you think you would prove with that?
-
We're going to win because for us to win will tick off Bettman, and he'll have to go cry on the shoulder of his pretty boy. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To those of you who somehow missed the title of this thread, can we please stick to the subject at hand? And to those who believe that liking one is automatically hating the other, nothing could be further from the truth. It is not a "one against the other" type deal here...they compliment each other. They learn from each other. They bounce ideas and theories off each other. These two are not a couple of egomaniacs who are competing to see which one is better. They work together. It's like a couple of people who are dancing partners. You don't fight each other when you dance - you work in coordination. I know it sounds funny to use a dance analogy, but if you think about it, it really fits.

I got so angry last night, I almost put my fist through the wall. Now, I am a pretty even tempered person by nature, but that just did me in last night. 34 seconds, and you couldn't hold them off that long. All I know is, we'd better be out for bear in game 6. Leave them bleeding on the ice from legal hits. No less will do.

Because they think they have to. They think it's not a complete thread without bashing Dom.
