Someone more clever and creative than me has to come up with something based on the "Predator" movie. It's just begging for a treatment.

I thought so...the carriage of the body and the cage gave it away. Very nicely done.
-
Very interesting...did you use Dom as your model?
-
I have always loved that one.

Sweet! I like that! Now that we know it's gonna be Nashville, can someone come up with one based on the old "Predator" movie? I'm not artistically inclined, but I'd like to see that one come up.

We were goofing around over on the Hottest Wings thread one night, and I jokingly suggested a Photoshop spoof based on "The Untouchables". Hence, our friend Jean came up with this one:

"I don't have nothing." First of all, dear Pasha, that's a double negative. But by saying that you're actually saying you've got game, which there is no doubt about. It took him all of three seconds to get that puck. Too awesome.

Don't look at me. I am not the techno type. I'm technologically illiterate to the extreme.

He's cool with it. He knows that after 30 years I'm not going to do anything stupid. And I'm not the only one in the family who's crazy about him. So is my great niece, and she's only 10. Go figure. I too am anxiously awaiting the playoffs. If he has as strong a year as he did last year, this could be an awful lot of fun to watch. As far as him being shy, he's slowly starting to come out of his shell and let people know who he really is. I don't think you'll ever see him be the media darling that guys like Henrik, Cheli, or Ozzie are, but he'll hold his own.

My hubby and I watched it. Know how long it took Pasha to get the puck away from him? Three seconds. Even Terry, who isn't a big hockey fan, sat there and just watched in amazement. If y'all want to see it, watch Red Wings Weekly. It was fun.

Great pics, both of you. I love the Pasha pictures especially.
-
That's one of the best lines I've heard in a long time.
-
If you could combine those two, I would be fearful were I the other team. Whatever the makeup of a player, I'd definitely want him to have Pasha's stickhandling ability.

It's like comparing two types of apples. Both are good, both have their upsides, but in the end they are both apples. With Pasha and Henrik, you have two wonderful players, whose games have been improving every year. Henrik gets the headlines, but Pasha flies under the radar. Henrik is more outgoing with the press, while Pasha is quiet and shy. Henrik is the flash and style, while Pasha is the flash and finesse. Both of them are invaluable, and we miss them when they're not in the lineup. Thankfully, Pasha has managed to stay healthy all season long, and it's shown in his numbers. Third in the league in scoring (notice right now the top 3 scorers are all Russian - when is the last time that happened?), second in assists, and top of the heap in both plus-minus and takeaways. Amazing. And yes, he does go out on the penalty kill...in fact, I've even seen him on 5-on-3 kills, and he's kept his end of the trio well. Yes, he doesn't get as much PK time, but look at the people we can put out on a PK - Malts, Draper, Dallas, Johan...he doesn't really need to be out a lot on the PK. And yet he does well. It's like someone said, you don't compare them. You love and appreciate what both of them can do every night.

Here's some food for thought. Three of the top 4 in scoring right now are Russian...Alex Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin and our own Pasha. Not bad...And if Pasha gets anything tonight and Calgary gets shut out again (anything is possible), then it would be the top three scorers in the League all Russian...interesting thought, eh?
-
As far as I know, tonight's game is not on the NHLN, but Friday night's game is. I'm covered. I have the Center Ice package, also the sports package on Direct as well as the NHLN, so I don't miss a game.

It was during the father - son trip out to Southern California. One of the side trips was an exercise set up with the Huntington Beach police, where the guys were teamed up in threes and did some paintball fighting. Pasha was with Homer and Flip, and this is what they did...the object was to go in a house and look for criminals. Apparently they had a blast doing it. Dom was with his son Michael and I'm not sure who else. But the quote from Pasha was priceless.

I think Pasha has a good shot at it, though I know it's not something he's consciously aiming for. He just wants to win, whether he scores or not. But I really think he could do it.
-
I imagine we're gonna have to unglue Cheli's Chick off the rafters tonight. She's got to be in Heaven...she was there and her boy scored a goal. There'll be no living with her for the rest of the week. Way to go guys! And congrats to Pasha for a 30 goal season!

Nah, you're just part of the majority. Join the crowd.
-
Wishful thinking, John...wishful thinking. The majority of people here can't even wrap their brains around the thought of him maybe being considered for the Selkie, much less the Hart Trophy.
-
But according to the majority opinion on here, he'll never win because his name isn't Sergei Fedorov.
-
Once again, the League proves it has a double standard. If one of our guys had done that they would have had the book thrown at them a la Chris Simon. But because it is Pronger, he gets away with it. Eight games is a joke.
-
I saw this new video for the first time last night. It's blatantly obvious that he did it intentionally. Though I am not a Chris Simon fan by any stretch of the imagination, he does make a good point. And he is right to be a little indignant about it. Pronger should get the same treatment. The infraction was almost the same, so why should the punishment not be?
