gdt WCQF Game 7 GDT - Red Wings 3 @ Ducks 2 - (DET wins series, 4-3)

So long suckers! Write when you find honest work! -
And this guy gets the nod for Hart and Lindsay trophies, while a guy like Pasha works his ass off and gets nothing. Is it just me or does this not compute???
-
Flashy G, I have one problem with your beautiful work. Why did you name your villian Loki? That's my dog's name and he's anything but a villain! Can you change it? To something less painful? For this I'll let you slide on your villian. You redeemed yourself admirably.

2 Games for Abby, 0 for Weber?...We Deserve Answers
Kira replied to Manny>Ozzie(by a long shot)'s topic in General
What really got me was watching the Montreal - Ottawa free for all the other night, and absolutely nothing was handed down to any of them, including the Montreal guy (I forget who) who took his stick and whacked the Ottawa guy in the back of the legs with a two-hander. They made 3/26/97 look like a Boy Scout campout. And nothing was done to them - not one thing. I am sad now I didn't watch the whole thing, and I'll be interested to see what happens tonight. But even one of the Montreal players skated by the Ottawa bench and was yelling at the players and coach. Come on, really? I smell double standard...and it's rank. -

After watching last night's train wreck between Montreal and Ottawa, and nothing being done to any of those guys, I call bat guano on Abby's punishment. And I'm being as polite as I dare to be. -
I would hope that we have a couple more years at the very least to let Pasha seal his reputation and career. If I know him, he'll probably push every thought of retiring his jersey aside...he cares more about the team than he does himself when it comes to achievements. Does his number belong in the rafters? I'm biased - I say yes. But let's see what happens between now and the time he does finally leave (which I hope is not for a long while yet).

Just assume that they are and leave it at that.

That look on Johan's face on that picture is scary as hell.

My house mate says you don't have to do any more - this one wins hands down.

You know, it's really a blast to make the critics look like a bunch of idiots, and it seems that's what we've done this year. We've been beset by injuries, and the chemistry might have taken a while to kick in, but look at what we did the last week of the season. I was at the game last Monday night, and it was as loud and rowdy as I've ever been a part of. We have really overcome a lot of obstacles, and the new kids have been amazing. I like Joakim Andersson, he has really impressed me. For being a rookie, he has shown a lot of poise and confidence. I think Dan DeKeyser (if I spelled it wrong, Dan, I profusely apologize) has a lot of potential, and he's learning from one of the best in Nik Kronwall (who has also shown a lot this season - he's deserves the mantle of top d-man). Now if there was a way we could get Helm and Bert in (I seriously doubt it. You may have seen the last of Bert.), we'd be in the driver's seat. As for Mike Babcock winning the Jack Adams, I'm all for it. But he probably won't even get a mention. Sad. It's Duck hunting season, boys. Bring it on home!

I always look forward to this part of the year, because all of you who are so much more creatively inclined than I am make me laugh. I can just see the Duck Dynasty crew with Pasha, Hank, Howie and whomever else you come up with photoshopped in. I figure it will be at least page 2 when I see it. I knew it, I knew it...you never let me down. I like the beard on Nik...looks pretty cool. For some reason, "Wild Kingdom" crosses my mind. Any creative souls around that might have an idea for that???

Three down, one to go. Run the table, boys.

I didn't get many pics last night, but this one didn't turn out too half bad... Not bad for shooting from across the ice. Sometimes you get lucky...

Is that a rhetorical question?

As I've said before, I have a deep inherent feeling he will be back. However, I plan on some heavy duty groveling at camp. Can't hurt!

Channeling our inner Sean Avery, are we? That's just too creepy...

The power of the mind is a wondrous thing...this is so heartening to see. Here's to you, dear Vladdie. Your courage is amazing, and the rest of you ain't too shabby either.
-
I can't put a percentage on it, but something deep inside me believes he'll stay for another year or so. I don't know. I plan on doing some heavy duty groveling at training camp.

Let's face it. We all knew this day would come along...that we would have to readjust to things. If it puts us down for a bit so be it. It's gotta happen sometime, and maybe now is the time. It's not the fault of any one person - s*** happens. It's best to ride it out and see where we wind up.
-
Well, scratch this one, and thanks to the person who claimed it!

If anyone is interested or will be in the GR area Wednesday night, I have a free ticket for the Griffins game against Chicago (Vancouver's farm team). You would be in section 106, Row N - not bad seats. And if you wish you can join a group of us who will be going to Peppino's after the game (and possibly see some of the guys) for pizza and beer. If you are interested, please email me before Monday April 8th at red_wing_datsyuk@yahoo.com, or find me on facebook.

Well, you know the old saying, you gotta dance with those who brung ya.

You too? Cool! I'm going next Wednesday night - how about you?
