You're right, Dmitriy...I think we've done a good thing in keeping Pasha for the next seven years. I honestly think that knowing he's safe and under contract for a long time has helped to loosen him up a little and he's starting to show his real self. I've seen more emotion and more energy this season, and he's just been a blast to watch. Not that he hasn't been before, of course. As I told someone else, he makes the hockey gods weep with joy, and 29 other teams jealous as hell.

BORING???????? Au contraire...I think this season has been some of the best hockey to watch. A lot of the games have come down to the wire. Look at the Edmonton game the other night...the winning goal with only 24 seconds to go. How can that be called boring? And to think some of the wags called us a "second-tier team" at the start of the season. "Second-tier"???? BULLs*** with a side of fries.

Nice pictures. I wish I could have been there. I'm ticked that Versus did the game last night because we missed the player intros, which I like seeing. I like to see the guys get the biggest applause. I heard Cheli's over the two mouths and it sounded like he got quite a reception.

As far as a nickname, I can think of anything really brainy. But I'm glad to see he put a hurt on that little so and so. And that little asswipe didn't even have the decency to take his helmet off and fight like a man!

I love your thinking, but it will be Homer and Johan teaming up on Pronger to put him into the bench, head first. And Cheli will be laughing his head off.

Pasha knocking out Pronger??? Oh man, I'd pay to see that one, but if anyone was gonna punch Pronger's lights out, I think it should by rights be Homer. Don't you think it would be poetic justice???

I watched Pasha, Homer and Johan play together all through camp, and in the preseason games they have kicked serious ass. If they can keep this pace up through the regular season you just may see three guys have career years on one line. They have the potential to be like the Yzerman/Gallant/MacLean line from back in the late 80's that kicked so much butt.

Right now, it's Scott Turow's "Ordinary Heroes", set during World War II. My tastes are pretty eclectic, and the next one up is John Grisham's "A Painted House".

I have to admit, I miss him too. I still keep an eye out to see how he does. I mean, once a Red Wing, always a Wing at heart.

It's a nickname...Sasha is one for Alexander, Misha is Mikhail...there are some others, I know, but those three are the ones I know right off the top of my head. By the by, I got a notice from NHL.com this morning in my email...the new Wings jerseys are going for $114.95 each. Not bad in price, but I still can't afford it.

Pasha deserves better than #36 on THN's list. But then again, if they want to let him fly under the radar, fine...that way when he does better than what everyone expects of him, we can say, "I told you so!"

This will be my third year, and I've loved every minute of it. I've met a lot of the guys over those three years, and got a lot of wonderful pictures too. The best moment was last year when I met Pasha...what a wonderful person he is. A gentleman in every sense of the word.
