Watch who you're callin' old sweetie...I am in my 50's.
-
If 40 is old, I'm in big trouble.
-
Could be worse. You could have to room with someone like me.
-
You're complaining about being old at 22???? Geez, I can't wait to see what you're like when you get my age!
-
I feel like I'm burning in some level of Hell...it's too hot to sleep.
-
Good for you! DQ sounds awesome...I'm getting a craving for a mint M&M Blizzard...

I know what Manny is going through with his mom...my mom battled it for ten years before it took her life. I applaud him for such a wonderful gesture, and if he were still here, I'd give him a big hug. Bless you, Manny...I hope your mom comes through the battle fighting. Never give up hope.

Holy schnikees, this team is definitely having a fire sale...who's next?
-
Same here. I'm inclined to wait for it to come on HBO. I'm too lazy and cheap to rent it.
-
You are so right...my bad and my apologies for the mistake. See, I hate him so much I can't even mention his name!
-
Patrick Roy - obvious Claude Lemieux - also obvious Eric Lindros - want a little cheese with your whine? Jeremy Roenick - arrogant jerk Jaromir Jagr - I just can't stand him for general reasons And flying right under the radar is Bryan Adams (for what he did to Henrik), Chris Pronger (another obvious one - in fact, he's probably tied with Roenick), Scott Hartnell (good riddance to you!), Jordan Tootoo (you know, I wouldn't cry if you were gone somewhere else either) and the Anaheim Ducks...the whole team...I can't single out one that I hate more than the others (besides Pronger, of course)
-
Never be ashamed to cry...your tears are a part of what makes a human. Don't be afraid to show emotions. I would be more worried if you didn't let emotions out or even talk about what is hurting you. If you need a shoulder to lean on, you can find me anytime. Meantime, my thoughts go with you.

I wouldn't waste my time on that movie, it looked absolutely asinine. Now the new one coming out with Robin Williams looks like it might be worth seeing. Of course, I like Robin Williams, so I might be biased.

I remember that...I cracked up.
-
Are we really meant to?

That is classic. You knew it was all a put on, because he didn't even know how to hold the sax properly. I don't play but even I know how to hold one. But it was all in fun and it brings back good memories.

I hear you...the air has been on in my house for the last three days, which I really don't like to do this early in the summer. And I made my dog stay home today instead of going to Mt Pleasant with us. She wasn't very happy but I felt better leaving her home.

Now I might believe that if it were Roger Rabbit...and I'd get drunk if I was married to Jessica... Remember that movie? "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way"...????

You would have probably been hot and sweaty even if you didn't go to work today...it was one of those days.

I remember exactly where I was when Nick scored that red line goal against Vancouver in '02. I was at a bar in Wellston, Michigan, and my hubby and I were the only ones in the bar to watch the start of the game. By the time the first period was about halfway over, about 8 trout fishermen came in off the Manistee River and sat down to watch the game with us. Ten people in the bar, I was the only female...and I was the loudest one there. When Nick made that goal all of us stood up and cheered, and I said to my hubby, "That goal is the turnaround of this series." And I was right.

Thank you for a chance to see my guys again...I can't wait til September!

Pasha said that he was honored to be nominated, but he honestly thought he hit more and had more penalty minutes. Well he might have hit more but he actually had less penalty minutes this season than last. Go figure. You do know that the Wings have had 11 Lady Byng winners...and there is only one other team who has had more, that being the Rangers with 15. If Pasha should win it next year, he and Alex Delvecchio will be the only two Wings to have won it three times...and I don't know if anyone since Alex has won it three times in a row. So that would be pretty cool. I say Pasha, keep on doing what you're doing...we love you just the way you are!

I have always had great faith in Pasha...my faith never weakened, or wavered or faded. I knew he would be fine. He took that playoff no-show monkey off his back and stomped that sucker to a pulp. I am so proud of him. And to win the Lady Byng in the process is not bad either. Say what you want, but the guy deserved it. To play at a high level of skill without being a goon about it isn't always easy to do. I'm sure there were nights he wanted to lay somebody out on the ice, but he didn't do it. Pasha is a true gentleman in every sense of the word, and I can't wait to see him at camp in September. Congrats, Pasha...you really have become someone special...

I was happy to see Nick had two of his sons with him last night. That was neat. And I liked Brind'amour telling his son he couldn't have an Ovechkin jersey to wear at Carolina home games - that cracked me up. By the way, did anyone see the article in today's Free Press? Apparently Nick's plane had some technical problems and landed four hours late. Then there was another two hour delay for unloading luggage. So it was Mr. I to the rescue - he put Nick and his family, along with Gordie Howe and Larry Murphy on his private jet and flew them to Toronto so they would get there in time. Just another example of why Mike and Marian Illitch are the classiest owners in sports. Take a bow, Mike!

Say what you want, I'm proud of him. It's not easy to win while playing the game like a gentleman. And he IS a gentleman in every sense of the word.
