we cant have such bad luck with injury again right? having hudler back does make a difference, we have more depth for the top 6. bottom 6 are easier to replace. my main concern will be Howard's sophomore season. there have been calder winning goalies who sucked after winning (Mason, Raycroft).

looking at the cap, i am beginning to think that one of Miller or Eaves has to be let go. I will choose Eaves to let go, he is too injury prone.

Niemi is a rookie so his potential is less known. Leighton has been a backup in this league for his entire 8 year career, we have 8 years of evidence. Some in the media were going ga-ga over him when he shut out montreal 3 times, it just happened montreal were dog tired. When you have been a backup for 8 years you don't become a great goalie overnight

a career backup will always be a career backup. he doesn't turn into a championship winning goalie in a week.
