Is Datsyuk a one of a kind?

I'd say it's a little of a stretch to say Igor Larionov wasn't a player of the same caliber as anyone in the league today, even Dats. You've got to remember that we only got to see him play at the end of his hockey career. When he was younger, in the USSR, he was a world-class star. Anyway, I wouldn't say Datsyuk is altogether unique in the league. The fact that he plays exceptional defense sets him apart, but there are a few others who display just as much flair (Ovechkin, for example).

    "Crosby Sucks" chant!

Maybe I'm a party-pooper, but I don't like that kind of chant. I think it's stupid when Chicago fans chant "Detroit sucks" because it isn't true and it's classless. Now I know Crosby was acting like a prick out there, but he doesn't suck, and it reflects better on the organization and our fanbase if we celebrate the Wings' accomplishments without mocking individuals on the other roster.... Nahhhhh. He does suck!

    Debating another jersey.

Everybody loves Stevie, but that wouldn't look right to me because he never wore that style. The cut doesn't really matter that much, but the 'C' on that side of his chest is a dead giveaway. By the way, I've been finding really amazing deals for NHL jerseys on eBay lately. I got an authentic Zetterberg Winter Classic jersey for something like 60 bucks!

    Debating another jersey.

I'd advise against getting one for a current player who doesn't have a long-term contract with the team unless you don't mind having a closet full of Averys, Quincys, Bertuzzis, etc. I love Darren Helm, for example, but I wouldn't buy his jersey because I could easily see him end up on someone else's roster in a couple of seasons. Old-school's always good, because clearly a guy who's retired can't be traded. However, if he's still alive, he can still disappoint you (like Probert cheering against us during the Chicago series, tsk-tsk). So I suggest Terry Sawchuck for you.
