Moving sammy down doesn't solve cap problem he is over 35 and his salary still counts against the cap

You know I was mad when we signed him but now I like his play and wish he would be used much more I hope your right and we keep him but the problem is we have to get rid of a couple of guys and soon

Great puck control tonight this isn't the Boston team we will see in the regular season -
From every thing I've hear he will start in GR but just long enough to clear of some payroll and a couple of forwards. Now it sounds like Helm will be on the Injured list again this year

The simple answer is nope. Nobody wants him no way to get rid of his salary. Now if he comes in and start producing or gets another major injury then we are in business -

Good for him he fits in there I would think they go after those type of guys all the time I liked Cleary but it was time for him to move on. Still would rather have him over Sammy though

I truly feel that the only reason our D did so well is because our forwards play both ways so well. Yes we need a first line D-man to win the cup

Not going to Happen Brunner wants to much and Sammy and Bert unfortunately arnt going any where no one wants them That's a great price glade to have him. Now we'll have to see how we get down to the final roster -

Guys everyone knows who we would like to get rid of and that is Sammy BUT he is going no where No one wants him we are stuck with him we might as well face it our only hope is we can put him on long term injury but he is healthy right now so that's out for now We will end up sending a few guys down that we all want and need to play and maybe get rid of Eaves also. We are almost in this desperate situation -
There is no way the leafs will trade with the wings unless it makes them better we are now competitors
