Yeah good thing Chris Osgood carried us to the finals two years in a row. It's not like we had one of the most potent offenses in the NHL or anything.

Howard is in net Thursday according to Babcock.

At what point do we get to stop saying that Ozzy needs to turn it on? I mean either he has it or he doesn't. He never made any big saves tonight (from what I saw, I didn't watch every part of the game unfortunately) and two of the goals against us were soft goals, especially the GWG. Ozzy is great in the playoffs, I don't think anyone is contesting that...but for the past two years he has been subpar in the regular season and now he has a goalie that is actually challenging him for his job and he still isn't showing anything in the opportunities he has. This lies on no one other than Osgood. It was unfortunate that he had to play the highest scoring offense in the league but as a team we played a great game and limited them to 20 shots. This team has looked awful in front of Howard more than a few times and he stole the game for them. During the regular season, I never find myself thinking "Wow, Osgood might steal this game for us" and that's a problem this year with Howard behind him.

After tonight, I hope Babcock sits him for another month. This isn't Ozzy's usual attitude and he definitely hasn't shown anything this season to warrant getting the start over Howard. I would be mad too, but keep it to yourself. You aren't some celebrity that gets to run his mouth to the press all the time.

We already played Washington and beat them, so I'll think it's incredibly likely we beat them again. I hope to see a solid effort out of Zetterberg and Datsyuk like last game against Chicago and with Leino back in the lineup, I hope he finally shows us something.

Datsyuk on pace for under 60 points when he has had over 90 points for 2 seasons and 87 points for 2 seasons is underperforming and trying to blame other players as well is pointless. Zetterberg had 73 points last season and is on pace for 65 points this season. There's a big difference between dropping 8 points and dropping 30+. Also, Zetterberg was playing with Leino a lot more than Datsyuk ever did so using Leino being on Datsyuk's wing as an excuse is laughable. EDIT: I also want to throw in that I have nothing against Datsyuk and think he has looked good in certain games. It's just an undeniable fact that he is underperforming.

The LINESMAN went over the other ref's head??? Toronto just said it was inconclusive and now the linesman is the one making the bulls*** call? Not the guy standing RIGHT NEXT to the damn puck? f*** the NHL this is honestly beyond ridiculous. I love hockey but this is just unbearable.

How could you have possibly concluded that was a goal? No angle showed anything except the puck was on the line, not over it. That was complete bulls*** and Ott can f*** off.

I have lost a lot of respect for Hudler after he decided to ditch to the KHL, but I can recognize that he is a solid forward although I never thought he had any upside as a two-way forward like most of our players. I wouldn't mind him coming back, but if it means we lose the chance at signing a good FA or something then I would want him to stay put.

Definitely a solid first game back for Cleary. Zetterberg was a bit invisible at times but he had a couple good shots. Helm was undoubtedly the player of the game not named Jimmy Howard.

Let's get a good win tonight! Hopefully Z and Cleary look solid tonight.

Our team is starting to look normal on the forward-side of things. Hope to see some good production by the top 2 lines.

How the hell is Rafalski a C+? He has been god awful for about 2/3 of this season.

If this year is our downfall, then that is just more proof that our organization is the best in sports. Our team is managing to win games and stay in playoff contention with a team full of AHL-ers who were never meant to be playing consistently in the NHL this year and yet some are even on the second line. Put almost any other team in this position for this season as long as we have been this year and I guarantee they would be doing a lot worse.

Well it is only supposed to be x12 which would be 4 Forward Lines and have nothing to do with Defensive Lines.
