This is true. Abdelkader, May, and Meech would be in GR with May coming up once in awhile and then Miller probably wouldn't have been signed if our whole team was healthy.

He's not going to make any kind of impact on this team when he comes back. If he does, I'll eat my fair share of crow but he was never detrimental to our success much like Filppula, Kronwall, and Franzen were supposed to be this year.

I think, even with the "natural goal scorer" thread, people are forgetting that Zetterberg is not a natural goal scorer, he is a playmaker. The main reason Datsyuk and Zetterberg work so well together is because neither is a pure scorer and they play the game the same way.

I don't know how Zetterberg is disappointing people right now. He is one of the only players you can watch every night and see that he's giving 100% on every shift. He has looked great, point production or not.

If it were me, I might go for Howard.

While on the topic of Franzen, He has yet to play a full NHL season. He's shown he can play, but he seems to be extremely injury-prone. Signing him for 11 years was quite a gamble, discount or no discount. Really hope he's solid when he comes back and I'd love to see him play a whole season next year.

Every time we seem to be blocking shots well enough, someone gets hurt. We can't afford that right now. We also can't afford to not be blocking shots, so I don't know what the healthy medium is.

I don't know what's going on with Datsyuk but maybe it's inevitable that he declines. He is getting a bit up there in age and maybe he can't move like he used to as much as he used to. He looks like he's getting tired easier this season. Sorry to say it, but maybe he's past his prime.
