Well that was fast.

Edler again pushes Holmstrom into Luongo.

How many times does Rafalski need to turn the puck over before he learns to stop?

******* post.

Cross-Check Bertuzzi right into Luongo and then try to beat his ass because you pushed him there.
-
They are really letting anything go this game...besides a net getting knocked off.

Thank god Howard is in goal and fighting for his life. It would be 5-1 right now if Ozzy was still in.
-
Am I a bad person because I laughed when that happened? That really sucks for him though, honestly. I feel bad, especially because I laughed.

Some great saves by Howard.

Wings win 3-2 in overtime. Goals by Zetterberg, Leino, and Lidstrom.

My favorite players growing up were Yzerman and Fedorov.

Now, I never go on ESPN for hockey news. EVER. But I was going on there to see the matchups for Saturday for another board I go on and run weekend picks...needless to say the headline on the NHL page was a picture of Pavel and the line "Pavel Datsyuk Past His Prime" so I had to click it to see what he had to say. Basically, Buccigross claims that the Wings are at the end of their run and wont win the Central Division and that Zetterberg and Datsyuk are past their prime. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/notebook?pag...s/091021mailbag

Franzen. The guy is practically invisible out there.

I turned the game on right before the hit, but one of the announcers made a comment that Toews came back to the bench and let loose an expletive (which I would assume is s***) and said he got caught with his head down.
-
Vancouver was trailing Chicago 2-1 tonight with about 12-15 minutes left in the third and Toews gets laid out. After that, Vancouver comes back and ties it at 2 and then Samuelsson scores the go-ahead goal with about 4 minutes left in the game.

The poster asked why Pavel and Z get no love and Bucci went on to say they are past their prime and the Wings wont win the Central. -

I wouldnt call his recently play Conn Smythe worthy but I wouldnt say it was far from that either. He leads the team in points because of his 6 assists, while he is -2...however when you have the kind of goaltending/defense that we have right now the minuses are all over the board. I wouldnt say Zetterberg is past his prime, nor would I say Datsyuk is just yet. Obviously if you assume every player plays their best hockey between ages 20-25 then yeah, they are past their prime but they won the Stanley Cup just 2 years ago and made it to the finals last year and they were already past age 25. -

What a dumb situation. -
It has definitely been a strange season so far. Everything will change though.

I wonder if the Maple Laughs will win a game this month. Its sad to watch a team do SO bad.
-
I need a blowout week soon. I keep getting middle of the road scores.

Speaking of Lidstroms contract at the end of this season, do you guys think that his salary will remain the same or will he take somewhat of a cut considering how old he is now? Obviously this contract wont be a long one if he decides to continue playing (which I assume he will since he doesnt seem to have lost much, if any, of his stride). But since he is still an elite player, I dont see much coming off of what hes currently being paid.

Well its quite obvious to me that Samuelsson is going to accumulate more points than Ovechkin this season and win the Hart trophy. Then the NHL will take notice and stop following around Crosby and focus solely on Samuelsson, the worlds greatest.

Damn, I would try to get out there but I dont want to get there and end up not being one of the 400 and waste gas and time for no reason.
