I don't think the Wings could have afforded to play him much after he came back from his injury. He would have had to be lights out in the few games he started to justify playing him in this shortened season. Next year, hopefully he's able to prove himself a bit more given an actual season to work with.

Minnesota needs to continue this free fall they're on. One, it'd be hilarious that they miss the playoffs after landing Suter and Parise and getting Pominville. Two, It'd likely mean we get in. San Jose needs to buckle down and beat the Blue Jackets. Sick and tired of Columbus this year.

I would be excited to see how good his numbers would get if he actually got to rest once in awhile and we had a solid backup that could win games. I liked the Gustavsson signing at first but he hasn't done anything to prove himself yet. -

The guy I'm playing in fantasy this week has Elliot and I'm up by only 3 because of his two shutouts earlier this week. Hawks need to win for that and for the standings.

Jesus, the flack Howard gets here is ridiculous. 6 years is long, yes, but if it's a moveable contract I see no problem with it. $5mil is fair for what Howard brings to the table and his lapses are usually due to our defense allowing odd man rushes or making horrible turnovers this season. Long story short, Howard has bailed us out a lot more than he's let us down. -

Hopefully when Brunner comes back, he can fit on the second line as well as Nyquist has tonight because the other lines (aside from the 4th a few times) were pretty solid and the best they've been in awhile.
