Niemi's save on Ericsson might end up being the play of the game. Wings definitely looked worse after that to me ... Sharks definitely got a boost from it. -

Depends on how much pride's left after getting curbstomped for 2 straight years by the Sharks. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if San Jose rolls Friday. -

Sadly, it's starting to look like the Game 7 loss to Pittsburgh was the beginning of the end of the Wings' dynasty. Could they come back in this series? I guess. Could they bounce back, make some changes, and go deep into the playoffs next year? Sure. But the simple fact is that the core of this team is getting older by the day and all the games that the Wings were winning three, four, 10 years ago are no longer coming out Detroit's way. -

Who else do you want to get ice time? Big Rig is a bum (as evidenced by the OT crapfest), Rafalski's not exactly tearing it up ... Salei wasn't the worst on the ice is all I'm sayin. -

Not sure where all the Draper hate is coming from. I thought he played pretty well tonight -- assist and +1. He was far from the problem in this game; he played better than guys like Cleary, Abdelkader, Franzen, Fil and Hudler did. -

Lucky teams win a lot of one-goal games. But you know what else? Teams that are better and hungrier usually get the best of one-goal games against lesser teams. The Wings used to do this ALL THE TIME in the Yzerman era. It's a different franchise these days, one that's completely forgotten how to win. -

Other than being tired of the NHL in general, this is exactly how I feel. I can't even ***** about anything after this loss because the whole thing was a train wreck. They finally got a decently-reffed game in San Jose and responded by playing like the Oilers. -

Somebody friggin get a stick on these loose pucks out front. Niemi is about half as good as the Wings have made him look.
