http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=293199 Had no idea the Habs even let him go. Feisty little guy though, I remember him and Tucker having a few scraps.

In the new SI player poll the Lions got one vote to win the super bowl this year...

I'm a bit surprised by this, he was looking pretty good in the pre-season and was putting up some points and its not like the Flames are already loaded with scoring wingers.

Which team do you think will win the champion in MLB?
aw1340 replied to FedorovMan91's topic in Other Sports
The Yanks are going to be hard to beat this year. Tigers upset them in 06 but I think that team was a lot better than the team now, it will be difficult for them to pull it off again. That is if they even make it. They just swept the Indians to increase the lead in the division and hopefully they can get on a roll here. -
That Rosehill seems to be getting into a scrap every game this pre-season. Does he have a shot at making the Leafs?
-
The game is tomorrow not tonight.

Never been a fan of May, but as long as the team he is playing for is the Griffins, I don't mind this.
-
I saw Crosby at #1 and stopped reading the list.

I agree. There was 1 or 2 players going to the bench at the same time, and somebody would've went after Phanuef anyway probably so I don't think he should even be suspended.
-
Too bad Philly and Toronto aren't in the same division.
-
He would look so strange in a regular helmet. Cloutier switched to one when he first joined the Kings but went back to the ugly one.
-
They also used Brendan Morrow as an example and I honestly can't recall of any big hit on Morrow by Kronwall. Unless they confused him with Miettinen, but I don't see how that could be possible.
-
They still pick up the games if it is on Fox Sports Plus.

I agree with most of the changes you listed. Number 1 especially, they have to make that the same as icing, that should be a no-brainer. As for the no points for a loss, I think they shouldn't give a point out if the team loses in the 5 minutes of Overtime, but maybe give one out if they lose in the shootout, but I can't see the league making any changes with that.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=289975 Fifth team in three seasons.

- Wings stay at the top of the central - Sharks lose early in the playoffs again - Penguins struggle to make playoffs
-
My thoughts exactly.

I'm surprised Kronwall cracked the list, and also I thought Rafalski was left off?

I wouldn't even say he led them to Gold in the World Juniors. That team was so stacked I hardly noticed him at all. If I recall correctly Mike Richards was the captain of that team, I would definitely take him as a captain over Crosby.

1. 09 Wings 2. 01 Devils 3. 00 Stars 4. 04 Flames 5. 07 Senators 6. 08 Penguins 7. 02 Hurricanes 8. 03 Ducks 9. 06 Oilers The only reason the 06 Oilers even made the playoffs to begin with was because of the shootout, it seemed like they were in one every week that season. Half the players on that team were also rentals. I put them behind the Ducks because of the teams they faced. The top 4 seeds in the West were all knocked out in the 1st Round in 06. They faced the Wings in round 1, who that year got a large chunk of their points against the ridiculously easy Central Division and were nowhere near to being a good playoff team at that time. Then the Oilers got the Sharks in round 2 and were down 2-0... then the Sharks did what they do best, choke. They breezed by the 6th place Ducks and almost beat arguably the worst cup winner of the decade. The Oilers and Hurricanes failed to make the playoffs the next season, which marked the first time that both finalists did that I believe? Even though the 03 Ducks did only make it to the final because of Giguere and his massive equipment, they did face some tough teams. The Wings were defending Champs and Dallas was #1 in the Conference, and Jersey was #2 in the east and a defensive machine.
