When I first saw it I thought he was pulling off that stunt he did back in Montreal when he was flopping all over the ice faking an injury. Guess thats not the case this time.

Didn't you say he was a stud earlier in the thread? Its not so much he's a choker its the teams he's been on that are chokers. He's always been a top winger on those teams so he gets a lot of the blame.

Not all of the Ottawa teams he was on were bad. In 01' they finished 2nd in the conference and got swept by the Leafs after Ottawa beat them in every single game during the regular season, then they only managed to score 3 goals in a 4 game series. In 03' they finished high in the conference once again and lost in game 7 of the 3rd round. Decent team in 04' but again got beaten by the Leafs in the first round. Yes Hossa has had decent numbers, but he's far from being a "stud" in the playoffs. One good playoff while playing with two of the best players in the league in Malkin and Crosby and still not winning the cup isn't going to change that. I agree he's an elite player, but only in the regular season because he's proven that. I wish he was still a Wing we could really be using him right now, but he's a division rival so I'm not going to like him anymore. Once again he's on a cup contending team in the Hawks, he's got another chance to prove people wrong this year. If I was a Hawks fan I'd be praying they don't play Detroit in the first round.

So Hossa has been injured every year in the playoffs except 08?

I was watching this live and the puck was clearly loose just from the regular broadcast angle. Terrible call once again. Montreal had a couple of questionable penalties in this period as well. I don't think they played well enough to win this one anyway but the officiating in the 3rd certainly didn't help their chances.

People seem to forget that even though the pens won last year it doesn't erase our cup win against them in 08 and it never will. They simply just evened the score. If Crosby actually did something in the finals this would be much harder to take. A real leader is often remembered for scoring timing goals, blocking shots, playing through pain, doing everything he can to help the team win. The only things I remember from Crosby in the finals was a pathetic dive he did when Malts gave him a tap on the leg (I literally burst out laughing at the time) and then sitting on the bench in the 3rd period of game 7. Yeah that's a real leader alright.
