I love Slava but if we are after a top 6 winger with that type of salary that we need to clear room for I rather it be someone who can score some goals with more size. We have enough guys on this team who are playmakers and not straight up goal scorers ala (shanahan,hull,hossa) We need to find a second tier top scorer out there because we won't be able to fit any big names under the cap without drastically changing the roster. Maybe someone like Ryder or Jokinen from Carolina.

Babcock makes me mad with his stubborness with his lines. I wish he would just try Filppula and Zetterberg together. Anyone who wouldn't want Frolov a proven 30 goal scorer on this team is an idiot. We wouldn't even have to deal Leino or Abby to get him. Frolov would looks very nice on Datsyuk's wing and when Franzen comes back he can play on Zetterberg's. I would offer the Kings only prospects or picks and if they would take Meech or Lebda I'd love them. Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary Filppula-Datsyuk-Frolov Bertuzzi-Helm-Williams Maltby-Draper-May/Eaves send abby back down to gain more experience and get more ice time. That will also leave us with an extra 800k in salary cap space. I would like to find a nice stay at home defenseman too.

Delmore really has nothing to do with the Wings. He was more or less just a depth veteran type player for grand rapids. I doubt he'll ever see the ice for the red wings

I would've loved to have Sammy back but not at that price. A 3 year 6 million dollar deal would be nice for a player of his caliber. Vancouver overpaid just a little bit for him like we did for Stuart. I like Stuart alot because he is our most phyisical d-man but does anyone else think he could've gotten 3.75 a year from any other team? I was thinking he would be signed for a cap hit of 3.25. Holland is a genius but there are a few contracts on our team that made me scratch my head a little bit.

I'm not disagreeing that Flip isn't sweet but just wish he would pot a few more goals and more points. His line seems to play really well but so far it hasn't showed up on the score sheet.

Flip playing 23 minutes against LA is more a sign that Datsyuk was out then having confidence from the coach

I think Delmore is more a luxury than a guy this team needs right now. I rather find a good stay at home guy for our 3rd pairing and have Delmore as our 7th man over Lebda and Meech. I would like to see what Janik or Kolosov could do.

I thought Eaves looked pretty good out there. He has alot of speed and I'd love to see him, Helm and Draper on a line together

I like him and think he is a nice player. Offensively he is an upgrade over Sammy so that's a plus. If he has a nice year I wouldnt mind seeing him re-siged for another year or two. Having a player who can provide some offense with a right handed shot has been hard to come by for the Wings the last few seasons.

zetterberg-datsyuk-cleary= the twins play with a faster talented and better defensive player than holmstrom leino-filppula-franzen= filppula and franzen have always had good chemistry and filp has also showed that with leino bertuzzi-helm-williams=bertuzzi is not a top 6 player. Helm has great speed, stick handling and solid defensively. Williams is average on D but good with the puck and has a decent shot. maltby-draper-holmstrom=only way to limit homers minutes without scratching him and keep him for the PP. These lines are whe Helm comes back and we'll most likely send Abby down. My main concern is getting Ericsson a decent partner so we dont stunt his growth. Holland needs to get on the phone with other teams looking for a cheap stay at home defenseman who can kill penalties on that 2nd unit. Lilja isn't coming back and if he does who is to say that he can regain form?
