If someone had said that Montreal would make it this far two months ago, they would have been flamed pretty hard. Philly/Montreal are definitely the underdogs, but they're professional hockey teams that can compete with anyone. -

We just came out flat in game 1 and never got our footing back after that. I'd say playing so quickly after an emotional game 7, the refs in game 2, and just a pure lack of energy/motivation/cohesion/whatever to finish game 3 have all combined to make this a difficult series. Howard hasn't looked good, the offense hasn't looked good, the defense hasn't looked good, and the officiating has been atrocious. I don't think there's any one thing that you can blame this on.

Just another case where Green didn't do anything to make himself a hero. On a side note, who here is still upset that we traded away the draft pick that netted Mike Green?

That's much less of a directing traffic play as it is a "holy s***, dude's on a breakaway, I'd better skate my ass of" kinda play. Carlson just completely gave up during the breakaway, you can't blame that on Mike Green at all. Granted, Mike Green didn't do anything to make himself look like a hero, either.
