They are incredibly balanced. I can't believe how much more fun they are to watch now as compared to 3 months ago. Also of note, if the Eastern conference team wins, whether it be the Devils or Rangers, the Wings would be the team that lost to the team that lost to the team that lost to the team that lost to the team who won the cup. What does this mean? Nothing, aside from me being able to write a terribly convoluted sentence.

With the new information about AK/AR, I'm not entirely sure that they even should have been suspended for those two games anyway. As far as Nashville, it just seems like Rinne couldn't handle high shots. I hate watching butterfly goalies when they get exposed like that.

I've always been high on Jimmy but I'm starting to get worried about his injury history. That said, he is a known commodity as a starter. I'll take proven over potential every time, but that's just my opinion.

Living in Ohio, I get FSOhio and thus, a lot of terrible Jackets hockey. A few weeks ago, there's a hard play where Nash and another guy go hard into the boards. Both of them fall down and get tangled up, and are down for a good 10 seconds. As soon as Nash went down, Rimer yells "Nash goes down, gets right back up." He could have said the phrase a dozen times before Nash got up. ...guess you had to be there. -

For having essentially 1/3 of the payroll out with short term injuries, I think they looked very good. You can't expect perfection from a team as banged up as they are right now unless you're a competent coach. Luckily, Babcock is one. Also- Rimer is the worst announcer I have ever heard. Anyone watching a CBJ feed want to bet how many times he'll blow a call this coming period? -
Wow, some people are REALLY taking this too far. This team wasn't struggling before the deadline by any means. With the recent news of defensive injuries, I would have bet a lot of grabbing a depth player, but that's purely so you're not scrambling if you get unlucky. I've got faith in this team playing a lot more hockey, barring a string of injuries.

The thing that shocked me was that we essentially lost defensive depth. I would have thought someone like Lee would have been a nice target.
