I don't think anyone's suggesting moving him anywhere than to the press box for a few weeks. Does anyone know if it could be retroactive somehow? I don't know much about how that works.

Then it's got to be a player worth 1 million going out, or the Eaves + trade Lebda deal. On edit: Or, maybe no Lebda deal until after the Olympics, if I could read the part about Lilja not coming back until post-Olympics. But then, with Eaves coming back, we'd have to deal around a million worth of salary.

I agree that it should have been disallowed, but I love Ovie a little more now. -
I strongly believe that if we make another trade, it'll be Lebda for picks unless we can convince Atlanta that Lebda + Picks/Prospects = Afinogenov or some similar deal. The only problem that anyone of value with a low salary isn't going to be had that easily.

For lacking a line and showing some fatigue, this team is really playing their heart out right now. I love seeing this, I just hope it's not too late in the year.

The difference between this game and previous games is that, after blowing a lead on a flukie goal and a "dirty" goal, we came back with heart. Datsyuk and Z took the lead and started bashing some heads and we had a disciplined PK. I still feel like this team is different than they were a few weeks ago.

That was my guess, and if we're saving 100k (+/- a few thousand) of Miller's salary, it makes the Lebda/Leino/May choice my vote.

It was my understanding that our cap hit was lowered for Miller because we took on his contract midway through the year... along with a lot of other cap mumbo jumbo I didn't understand in this thread...

Lilja's looking good from the wee bit I've seen. I absolutely love seeing him win the battles in the corners.

I'm feeling someone on our third line's going to score tonight. Z looked real good, too, and maybe a Datsyuk goal as well. We'll go 4-2, Z, Helm, Datsyuk, and Jimmy with his first career goal when he gets aggravated that we can't score on 3 minutes of an empty net on the other end and does it himself.
